I'd say no. The soul of Adam is to continuously glorified God day and night with out tiring. It is not until after eating of the apple did Adam have free will.
So why do people say God gave humanity free will because he wants us to be able to choose? Why was he happy for Adam not to have free will?

What makes you think he had a choice in the matter?
He did have free will. That tree and snake thing is what God conjured up to see if it worked. It was a test--we passed it and graduated.
