"Sea level" is equidistant from the centre of the earth. It isn't flat.

Sure, water does not bend, its a liquid. For example, a gas also cannot be bent. Therefore?

I have seen so many variants, from a demon eating the moon to some undetectable black Sun to some peculiar tries to create some weird contradictory models.

So many evasions from the simple reality.

Here's what puzzles me. They can't fathom that God created such a vast, beautiful and structured universe; however, he did create a flat hunk of dirt and slapped dome on top of it, and said "it is finished".

It sure seems they are unable to extend their ideas beyond the bronze age experience. Like they got stuck in that time and everything else is a conspiracy.

It doesn't matter to them that the time, location and duration of every solar or lunar eclipse can be predicted with incredible accuracy using the heliocentric model. Same with the position of the planets in the night sky, or the visits of different comets, none of which can be determined using any flat earth model.

I wonder what they were thinking during the last total solar eclipse which was precisely predicted to seconds for every part of the globe. They probably thought its magic or something.
