Gen 10 establishes the nations and their proximity to Israel.
Dt 7 establishes 7 as the number of nations hostile to Israel.
Dn provides more detail about the seven nations;
six heads w/ one crown, one w/four - an empire.

Ez 37 & 38 establish the following:
It occurs in the end times.
The motivation is that of taking spoils from a defenseless nation.
The armies die on the mountains of Israel.

Zechariah 14 establishes the following:
Jerusalem will be taken.
The armies will die from a plague.

Both Ez. and Ze. establish a different scenario that doesn't coincide with the last battle after the 1,000 year reign.

Rev 16, 17 & 20 establish the following:
The beasts will assemble the nations at Armageddon
The 10 kings will hate the great harlot and sack her.
The beasts will be captured and cast into the lake of fire.
The armies from Gog, Magog and other nations will be killed by fire before the great city and encampment.

So, you have a conceptual framework for the last days, and a chronology that is backed by scripture.
