"Eternal" life = AGE-LASTING life.

We shall continue to live in our mortal bodies by having faith in Jesus until the end of this present age we are living in

It is the power of the cross of Jesus that will keep our mortal bodies alive and standing in this earth in this present evil age.

We shall not perish (mortally die) but shall have “everlasting” …..that is, an AGE LASTING…. life in this mortal body until the end of this age where at the last trump our mortal bodies will then be changed to immortal.

We who believe this shall not perish in this mortal body from this earth but shall be kept alive by the life of Jesus until the end of this age.

John 3:16 KJV
(16) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Again, think of Caleb and Joshua who continued to live to the see the promised land while the unbelievers among the children of Israel died in the desert.

We shall continue to live here also until the end of this age by the power of the cross of Jesus...dying to sin. We are to keep His "daily" sacrifice in this mortal body so that His life keeps our mortal flesh alive.

We shall be “alive and remain” in this present evil age….as Caleb and Joshua did in the desert.

Unto us which are saved it is the power of God as we continue to live in this earth.

But to those who are perishing in their mortal bodies, it is foolishness. They will not live out their mortal bodies until the end of this age as they will mortally die.

1Co 1:18 KJV
(18) For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

But Christ died for them (those who perish in their mortal bodies) as well. Christ died and rose and revived.

And so He is Lord to both of the dead (those who perish) and living (those faithful who are kept alive for the duration of this present evil age). Caleb (meaning “faithful”) was kept alive in the desert.

Rom 14:7-9 KJV
(7) For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.
(8) For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
(9) For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.

The mortal bodies of the “dead” have died in this age. They suffered loss: their physical bodies.

This is what Paul was highlighting here by some (who remain mortally alive by having an age-lasting life) who questioned about what body do they come in the next age. God will give them a body as He determines....but we (who are alive and remain) will have our mortal bodies be changed into immortal bodies.

1Co 15:35-36 KJV
(35) But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?
(36) Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:

There are many enemies of the cross of Christ in this present age whose end is destruction of the mortal body….and they are taking many down with them to their mortal destruction. Many are listening to their “preaching” and do not understand the good news for us today.

Php 3:18-19 KJV
(18) (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:
(19) Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)

We must not sit together with them in their “churches” where no mortal flesh is being saved.

We must COME OUT from among them and be separate. This is the "holy" (be separate) commandment we must not turn away from.

We are unclean by being attached to them. What agreement does the temple of God have with “idols”….that is, images. They are image worshippers.

The church scribes’ handwritings of church ordinances are “images” that they are keeping and serving rather than God’s commandments which are written upon our hearts and minds.

2Co 6:16-18 KJV
(16) And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
(17) Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
(18) And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

They are preaching things (their images….their church handwritings) that they should not be for money’s sake.

We must not be joined to them in their “churches” as we become “one flesh” in their destruction of the flesh. Their mortal bodies are being destroyed….and so are those who are joined together with them.

1Co 6:14-20 KJV
(14) And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power.
(15) Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.
(16) What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
(17) But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

We must flee the “fornication”….that is, to flee from being joined together with them. Our mortal body is the temple of the Holy Spirit which is in us.

We sin against our own mortal bodies when we are attached to them in their churches We are being destroyed from this earth along with them. We sin against our own mortal body.

Their end is destruction…destruction of the mortal body. They do not have “eternal life”…that is, an age-lasting life….life to the end of this age.

(18) Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
(19) What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
(20) For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

This is the will of God….even our SANCTIFICATION…that we abstain from “fornication”…that is, our vessel (our mortal body) being joined together with them in their churches.

1Th 4:3-4 KJV
(3) For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:
(4) That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;

We must not give ourselves over to “fornication” and going after “strange flesh” or we are destroyed in the vengeance of “eternal” (age-lasting) fire.

We shall not live out our mortal lives until the end of this age as we shall be burnt up in the wrath of God….as He is a consuming fire. We see this NOW as no flesh is being saved in man's denominational churches. They are all perishing as we speak and do not have age-lasting life among them.

Jud 1:7-8 KJV
(7) Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
(8) Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.

Beware of false prophets that lead many astray. They are MANY down the broad way that leads to the destruction of the mortal body.

Mat 7:13-15 KJV
(13) Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
(14) Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
(15) Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
