If you've ever had trouble trying to describe the White House to someone who's never seen it, don't worry, you're not alone. It would appear that the President himself isn't quite sure what to call it, either.

On Monday, Donald Trump opened up the South Lawn of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue for the annual White House Easter Egg Roll. Sandwiched between his wife, Melania, and an ominous-looking Easter bunny, the President launched into a lengthy thank-you to all the powers that be involved in setting up the event. He thanked the weather, he thanked the attendees, he thanked the First Lady, and it was all going as expected until he began to thank the White House maintenance staff. As the Cut noticed, that's when the President used a very strange choice of words to describe what's arguably the most famous home in America.

I'm thinking? "Isn't "house" part of the name? Why not call it a house?"

Anyone who can call THAT bunny "ominous" obviously is not to be taken seriously when he goes on to find fault with the description of the White House as...a "house."

It's not not actually the "only thing" that he did, but since it was published in "Architectural Digest" I'm not really surprised they wanted to point out how much trouble President Trump coming up with a word to describe one of the most famous buildings in America. Seriously, the word "House" is in the actual title of the building, how hard would it be to just call it a house?

uhmmm...are you talking about President Trump here? Because HE'S the only one who had any trouble describing it as "a house" the author of the article had no trouble in that department.
