Matthew 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels of God in heaven.
The Lord's statement suggests that the heavenly angels are a genderless community. While the angels loyal to the Lord are our allies, the angels of rebellion, or demons, make every effort to impose contrary doctrines on the minds and hearts of man.
1 Timothy 4:
1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith,
giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,
2 speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron,
3 forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created
to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.
It would be highly unlikely that Paul stating "kolyo gameo" which is translated "forbidding to marry" is against celibacy and the decision to remain single to serve the Lord, as even Paul himself made that commitment. What we are seeing in these latter days is a prominent move toward a society without gender differences.
Those who respect God's creation of male and female are derided for their "binary thinking" and there is even an assault on the use of pronouns publicly. There is a move towards banning sex in procreation with all reproduction limited to a "scientific laboratory method". While much of this would be considered the work of sci-fi and not government policy, the idea has been inculcated, particularly in the minds of the younger generation. Just another "sign of the times" in which we live.
