If JESUS is the Author and Finisher of our Faith ...how is Belief in Him anything but His Law on our heart?

Heb 12:2 — Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;...

This whole reality is about Law being in you:

[Gal 3:18 KJV] For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.
[Gal 3:19 KJV] Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.
[Gal 3:22 KJV] But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
[Gal 3:23 KJV] But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
[Gal 3:24 KJV] Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

[Gal 3:25 KJV] But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

[Gal 3:26 KJV] For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
[Gal 3:27 KJV] For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

It is what was Written to your Reborn Circumcised Heart:

Romans 8:2 KJV — For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Galatians 6:2 KJV — Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

Faith is about having The Law in you:

Philippians 3:9 KJV — And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

David loved The Law for a reason.

A person must believe, if they say they believed but they do not believe, they have not believed and have not been born again. God knows who has believed, man does not know.

But following a Law is not believing. The only object to believe in, is stated plainly and specifically in The Bible and that object is Jesus The Messiah.

It is my understanding that it is not the law that is in us ,it is His Holy Spirit as He said. The school master has retired. Blessings.

Yes, faith upholds the law; it does not give us a repreive from the obligation to obey it but actually gives us the means to obey it, by establishing fellowship with God, the Source of all true righteousness for man.

Define law? Are we talking 10 commandments seems to be the only ones well escape. The 613 seem to not have the 10 in them when some speak. God told us what would be written on mans heart and how He will remember their sin no more.

Its easy to say stuff like this today since we have OT NT yet back then no one had the OT Torah in their back pocket. Some as Christ said blessed that believe yet never seen. So what are we talking about? God said anyone that calls on the name of the lord shall be saved. Its that easy. So yes

The Decalogue is 10 of the 613. So besides the 10 there are 603 mitzvot in the Torah.

Our actions express what we believe, such as someone expressing the belief that it is cold outside by putting on a coat. The way for someone to believe that God is good is by doing works that testify about His goodness. Likewise, the way to trust God to correctly divide between good and evil is by following His law. God is trustworthy, so His law therefore His law is also trustworthy, so again following God's instructions is the way to trust God, while it is contradictory to trust God instead of obediently trusting His insertions. Jesus is the exact image of God's nature (Hebrews 1:3), and the way to believe in God's nature is by expressing it by obeying His instructions for how to do that. Jesus is God's word made flesh, so again it contradictory to believe in God's word made flesh instead of believing in God's word. There are many verses that connect our faith in God with our obedience to His law or that connect our unbelief with our disobedience to it, so God's law is His instructions for how to believe in Him, and we can't believe in Him instead of following His instructions for how to do that.

While I agree that belief in Jesus is God's law written on our hearts, I am wondering what exactly you mean by that because it is sadly common for people to misinterpret the verses that you've quoted as saying that we are we not under God's law. In Romans 2:25, the way to recognize that a Gentile has a circumcised heart is by observing their obedience to God's law, which is the same way to tell for a Jew (Deuteronomy 30:6), and circumcision of the heart is a matter of the Spirit, which is in contrast with Acts 7:51-53, where those who have uncircumcised hearts resist the Spirit and do not obey God's law. Furthermore, the prophecy in Deuteronomy 30:1-10 of when the Israelite will return from exile, God will circumcise their hearts, and they will return to obedience to God's law is in accordance with Ezekiel 36:26-27, where God will take away our hearts of stone, give us hearts of flesh, and send His Spirit to lead us in obedience to His law, and with Jeremiah 31:33, where God will put His law in our minds and write it on our hearts.

A person who has never heard of The Law, can believe in Jesus for God's free gift of Eternal Life. There is no prerequisite to first believe in The Law, then a person is able to trust in Jesus.

Jesus and Paul referenced the moral law that is fulfilled by love, by the greatest commandments. Jesus referenced obedience of the ten commandments as necessary in Matt 19:17 and Paul referenced them in Rom 7 as holy, spiritual, and good, and again in Rom 13 as being fulfilled by love. Those who love as God wants, and as only God can move us to, place Him first above all else and refrain from harming their neighbor, as the decalogue commands. This is why the churches from early on, with mainstream Protestant churches continuing this practice historically, have considered the ten commandments to be obligatory. The RCC for its part commits over 100 pages or 500 paragraphs of its catechism to the ten commandments alone. Speaking of the "natural law" which God originally placed in the hearts of all men, Augustine had this to say,
"God wrote on tablets of stone that which man failed to read in his heart."

Salvation is never divorced form the righteousness that only God can instill in us, and without which we're still subject to condemnation. Calling on His name doesn't mean we stop at that; that's the beginning of a journey on which we continue to follow Him. The new covenant is all about union with God first of all, as we turn to Him in faith in the Son who defintively reveals the Father.
"Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God." 1 Pet 1:21

It starts with faith, James chapter 1. You must have faith to please God. You must repent for sins to God. Those who refuse to repent, will pay for those sins when Jesus returns 7th trump. Next step. Christian people must study the bible, to gain spiritual growth. How can God use biblically illiterate person to plant seeds for Him??. God won'ty. james 1:22. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. Lip service won't cut it. How can someone claim Gods promises or know How to please God?. Deuteronomy chapter 28 is about curses and blessings. God wants to bless His children. But some people choose to go another path. Hebrews chapter 5:12 for when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principal of the oracles of God ; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. After 20 years the congregation should be teachers of God's word. Why is many denominations flocks still sucking on milk bottles. They have no spirtual growth. It's real shame that some churches have failed in their capacity to nourish their flocks. Servants of God must have working knowledge of Gods word to plant seeds, share Gods truth with those who are lost. Those playing church are not doers of the word. They only hear the word. Second Timothy chapter 2:15. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. If you have car, it needs gasoline. With out gasoline and oil, the car is useless. Get the picture. How can Jesus use someone who is spiritual dead to share God's truth with others. God won't use the person. Until they establish themselves before Jesus. Its growing in knowledge and wisdom of God's word. Read James chapter 1, and second Timothy chapter 2.

It is a matter of if you do believe, you will act accordingly. You will say (confess) things that reflect that belief, and your actions will correspond to what you believe.
