Disarmed

[Isaiah 54:17]; No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment, thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the saints and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

When the Bible speaks of 'no weapon fashioned against you' understand that there is one particular weapon the enemy used against the children of God; the law.

Colossians 2:14-16 AMP says, "having cancelled and blotted out and wiped away the handwriting of the note(bond) with its legal decrees and demands which was in force and stood against us(hostile to us). This [note with its regulations, decrees and demands] He set aside and cleared completely out of the way by nailing it to [His] cross."

It goes on to say, "God disarmed the principalities and powers that were ranged against us and made a bold display and public example of them in triumphing over them. Therefore, let no one sit in judgment on you in matters of food or drink or with regard to a feast day or a New moon or a Sabbath."

The resultant effect is that no tongue can now rise against us in judgment. With the law out of the way,we are not to be judged over what to eat and what not to eat or on which day to pray and when not to pray.

The place of the devil as accuser of the brethren is displaced because what he could have used as a yardstick for accusation was dealt away with.

There is now no condemnation for those that are in Christ. You are not judged by the law, child of God. You are not under condemnation. You are free. This freedom is your heritage; your portion in God. It is your lot.
