I'd love to take my dog to Church

Me too. I have two of them though!

Mine doesn't bark much and I think he looks quite reverent sometimes. I'd need to tie him up when I go to Communion.
We don't have kneelers at Church so he can just lie directly on the carpet.

Unfortunately our youngster does bark. She would be jumping up on everybody and washing their ears! But the elderly lady would just lie there quietly, probably asleep.

There's a moment in our Mass where the priest calls all the young children up to the altar. (around communion time)
Wouldn't it be great if he could call all the dogs up to the front, and they obeyed him. Would be beautiful.
(someone is going to be offended by what I just suggested perhaps) I don't have children. My dog is my child.

A man with a guide dog comes along with his dog on Sunday mornings .

I have taken Holly to church when I have been going for the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Saturday mornings . She waits patiently at the back of the church .

I,once went to an Anglucan Communion Service, and thenpriest exchanged the Peace with his little dog and the dog went up to the Communion rail at Communion time. Thedog had been sat on someone's knee right the way through, but got down at the exchange of the Peace!

of course, the peace offering! the dogs could be trained to do something like smile or kiss!
