Job 12:22, "He discovereth deep things out of darkness, and bringeth out to light the shadow of death."

The light shineth, to expose every hidden sin, and reveal even the thought of evil in your heart. Yahweh dwells in light, of which it is written no man may approach (1 Tim. 6:16), but yet we have the light of Christ, and we know from the bush that burned but was not consumed, which Moses beheld, there is a light and fire of God that is approachable, albeit on holy ground.

Meditate on these several Scriptures about the light of our Great and Mighty God!

1 Corinthians 4:5, "Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God."

2 Corinthians 4:6, "For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ."

Indeed, in the very beginning, it was light: the light of Almighty God that was manifest, and was the very first thing declared to be GOOD.

Genesis 1:1-4, "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness."

HalleluYAH!

Psalm 104:1-2, "Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.
Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain"

Job 38:19-20, "Where is the way where light dwelleth? and as for darkness, where is the place thereof,
That thou shouldest take it to the bound thereof, and that thou shouldest know the paths to the house thereof?"

Look at this verse here. It's about the oil for the lamp of God, which is to burn continually, but it is beaten for the light. Jesus was beaten for the light, and our flesh is beaten for the light: for we cannot shine with the light of Christ, and that oil in our lamps, symbolic of the light of the Holy Spirit, unless out flesh is beaten. (Now I know some people actually beat themselves physically. I'm not talking about self abuse, I'm talking about mortifying our members on earth and putting the flesh and its lusts to death through the cross. Beaten for the light....
"And thou shalt command the children of Israel, that they bring thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamp to burn always." (Exodus 27:20)

Ephesians 5:8, "For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light"

And beware John 3:19, " And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil." for, of Jesus it is written, "In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not...That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world." (John 1:4,5 & 9)

Isaiah 60:1-3, "Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising"

And now, for this being fulfilled, and continues to be fulfilled, and will one day be ultimately fulfilled when Christ stands upon the Mount of Olives, we can thank God and His Son Jesus Christ, for, "Ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;" (1 Peter 2:9)
