Why are there headline reports today about Muslims and how they prefer Sharia Law and have similar values to "conservative Christians" (hello? where have you been stupid media?!) but almost nothing about the kidnapping of the bishops in Syria?

My word, I knew the media was biased but this is pathologically ridiculous!

Of course. They have private owners, after all.
Once you figure out how public education works together with the media, funded and controlled by a small group of plutocrats, you can go through the whole disillusionment of realizing that there is no democracy in any of the nations that claim to have it.
From there, you can come to the realization that participation in elections serves only to ratify the rule of that plutocracy over us, and no matter which of the (two) choices we choose, that rule remains unchanged.

To test it, try to outlaw corporate lobbying (and make it a capital offense n the level of treason). You'll find that no matter how much the people want it, it ain't gonna happen.

I can't even stand to watch the news anymore, other than the local news to get the weather (snow in May? woohoo!) It's revolting what they choose to play up and what they choose to ignore. There is no such thing as real unbiased journalism anymore.

Conditioning the masses for future implementation of sharia? Perhaps in anticipation of & or even fosterng an alternative sense of morality (perhaps prime time family shows in the way of sharia for ex.). The current secular reign is probably a paper tiger. Far fetched?; perhaps.

Hundreds of thousands read a psychodrama about the possibilty of a "Christian" theocracy during the 1980s & took it seriously (see: The Handmaid's Tale - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ) If such a mindset sees nonexistent phantoms but cannot realize exisitng evil jinn, brainwashing may be feesible.

Completely agree! There is so much that we are not hearing about, and so much that is being twisted out of its meaning! If anyone here is a health professional, have you heard of Bahrain doctors being imprisoned and tortured for treating civilians?? Probably not. We had a lecture from one of the surgeons who was friend with one of these doctors and tried to help them out, and he told us all about how governments and news agencies are doing their best to hide the situations! It was despicable!

You know, even here, GK Chesterton turns out to be relevant. He wrote a fiction novel a hundred years ago foreseeing such a scenario for England called "The Flying Inn". You can Google it, it's free online. The first and most obvious effect in his story was the imposition of an Islamic Prohibition (a decade before Prohibition was actually enacted in the States). He saw multicultural imposition before it was even a "liberal" pipe dream.
