Many bioethicists and progressive politicians want to outlaw infant circumcision — even though it is an essential aspect of Jewish faith and almost as important in Islam. In a few instances, the “intactivist” campaign has taken on explicitly anti-Semitic tropes.

There’s no logic to the campaign. Now, the Journal of Medical Ethics has published a piece decrying circumcision — and making the ridiculous comparison to female genital mutilation to claim that it is sexist to bar FGM while permitting circumcision. The world gets crazier. Haven't these bioethicists and progressive politicians heard of mohelets? If women can perform circumcisions, how can they think that circumcision is sexist?

They are totally trying to confuse gender roles. I think it's insulting to compare the vulva and other delicate parts of the female anatomy with unneeded foreskin (as equating female genital mutilation with circumcision does), and I'm not even a woman.

It is insulting. It’s female mutilation and debilitates the female sexually along with some major health issues. Removing foreskin does no such thing.

Removing the foreskin can actually help prevent health issues. If people referred to the bible, instead of making things up as they go, this issue wouldn't even come up. Circumcision was commanded by God in the bible for all His males - female genital mutilation most certainly was not (but it was invented by those promoting a false gospel).

Even psychologically, people understand. Many women prefer their husbands and sons to be circumcised for the health benefits, whereas most men (except barbarians) would be horrified to consider their wives or daughters undergoing any form of FGM.

So to answer the OP, allowing circumcision certainly isn't sexist (although prohibiting circumcision may be sexist, given the health risks). But I think in some Jewish circles, the preference against mohelets is sexist, although this is changing with the times.
