This field of science hurts my head, so I don't spend any real time contemplating it. ;) But I think I will go with whatever scientists/theorists feel is most plausible. I'm not stuck on Big Bang Theory, but it will do for now. I'm sure they will define it further or toss it out completely in favor of theory that fits better. That's the way science is. You don't have to vow one theory is correct forever or face eternal retribution.

I believe that the current observational evidence shows the universe is expanding homogeneously. If you turn the clock back, then the universe appears to contract.

This means that at some point in the distant past, the universe (including dimensions of spacetime) was much, much more compact (possibly to an infinitesimal size) and very hot. It has been expanding ever since and is still expanding to this day.

If you do believe in the BBT then tell me where that big ball of mass came from.

I used to have that question (only I would ask about that mysterious singularity). But really, when you think about it, the Big Bang theory is a friend of theists. There is nothing to say that God did not cause the Big Bang ("Let there be light!"). It certainly does not prove the existence of God, but I think that perhaps this is the one case where simply saying "Goddidit" can't be totally frowned upon.

The mass that is the universe has existed always. Time is part of this universe like any other dimension and doesn't exist outside of this universe.

The evidence for at least something like the big bang is overwhelming. Expanding universe, background radiation and homogeneity of the universe to name but a few.

Brotha Ballew I have to ask you, what is a "day"?
