Ben & Jerry's unveiled a billboard and a mural honoring former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick in Tampa, Fla., this week, just days before the Super Bowl is set to take place in the same city on Sunday.

Shame on Ben & Jerry’s. They are honoring someone who dishonored our country’s flag, calling America racist and refusing to show respect for the nation that enabled him to become a multimillionaire athlete. Had Kapernick been born in Nigeria, Botswana, or some other backwater country, he never would have been able to utilize his natural athletic talents and become rich in the process. He would probably be poor, hungry, and destitute. And how does he repay the US for giving him the tools for a successful athletic career? He basically spits on our flag. How ungrateful.
