Stumbling consciousness
Rising sun glares across the room
Shining warmth on my face, as if to enlighten me
Blinding me, as if to keep me from seeing
And yet I stand, taking no warning
Proceed and go on
I take your hand and walk along
Deep and down
Where I know not nor care
Everything is all right
Nothing could go wrong
Summer breeze, cold as a winter gust
Time freeze, sense the malice
Without contemplation
Without regret
Without hesitation
I give what is mine
And steal that which is not
Alarmed from within
Sold out of faith
Bought with love
Feelings lent from concern
No thoughts
No priorities
No doubts
Sparked by care
Moved by will
Pushed by love
Desirable reaction
Take nothing back
I will accept no other way
But I will take what is not mine
For the glory of you
I have given before
I could give again
I can give no more
To give that which is of once
And just as it was
It is no more
I cry out, for you
You're nowhere to be found
I look around
Bright burning sun glares across my eyes
And I see you smile
Dwelling, dwindling omnipotence
It speaks to me
Epochs swirl in the divinity
Waste not what is not yours
Not yours or mine
Hide your mask
It holds no purpose now
Tell me, as I do you
I love you
Let them fall as I
But keep them dignified as I
Hold them to meaning as I
I am heading home
To go without
So that one may have
To lose the most
And gain the most
Shed your mask
Show the purity
Dragged out
And pulled down
I choke out the words
I love you
And you say goodbye

Deep in a garden of dead
Underneath a heavy patch of thorns
Lies a solitary flower
Suffocating of it's life and beauty
Hidden from the sun's warmth and light
And only I know where it is
Planted long ago without a promise
Painted pictures in the mind
A late dusk greets an early dawn
It is not too late
Yet only I can see it
With reluctant roots deep into the soil
Rich silt slowly turns to apathetic clay
Surely it won't be long
And the ground will become barren
Much must be done if it is to be restored
And only I know what it needs
Malnourished and deprived
It begins to wither and wilt
Resting against what is near
As if lacking condign narcissism
A hand endures cutting flesh and spilling blood
Because only I know how to free it
Hands down in
I break away what is old and dead
As the flower embraces the light I feel new life
I will take it where past memories will fade
It will be planted in a garden of love
And only she knows where that is
