Sherri shares with him about how she dealt with bullies because she was a
skinny girl and the names she was called because of her size, or as the others say, a lack thereof. David intently listens to his mother, but she notices that he has been worried about how the other kids have teased him and that he might become withdrawn. She realizes that her son may be stronger than she even realized. She knows her son better than he knows himself.

Her mother taught her to stand up for herself and that every one gets picked on, but it is all about how you deal with them that shows the kind of person you really are. They will leave you alone. They will even respect you. Her mother was a Christian woman who raised her on Jesus and how he dealt with those who opposed Him and Sherri hoped that she taught those same lessons to her son.

David then listened intently to his mother and told her that he prays that the bullies may stop. Sherri advises him to ask God to deal with the bullies, not just for the bullies to stop picking on him, but for God to intervene.

"Yes, ma'am."

Sherri tells her son that she loves him and leaves him to go back and chat with Gayle on the computer. David asks Gayle about any advice that her parents offer on how to deal with the bullies at school. Gayle just tells David to pray for them and that is all she knows how to do, pray for them. David didn't understand that at first and didn't feel like praying for those who were bullying them, but he listened to Gayle's advice, which didn't seem to work because she is still being bullied.

"David, I have to go, okay? My grandmother has come to visit."

"Okay, take care."

"Okay, bye."
