Lately, during worship I just am so into praising the Lord that I want to express it through art. And when I get a vision, I try and draw it out and it is really fun.. Anyone else does art to get close to God?

Well, I wouldn't call myself an artist really, but yes, I art journal, It is very enjoyable and lends itself well to Scripture quotes or study notes I may have accumulated. Thanks for the thread, I look forward to keeping up with it and learning how others incorporate God into their artwork. God was The Ultimate Creator anyway, no?

my form of making notes is art in my journal, when the pastor is speaking if i am not serving, i am making notes in the visual form of drawing or bubble art, when the Lord tells me something i draw it and then write what He said to me next to it.

My husband is a worship artist. He hasn't done it in a while, as we went on the mission field and canvas and oils can be quite costly..... What happens as he worships by "dancing for Jesus with paintbrushes" is often that a prophetic picture emerges. Very cool stuff. My house is filled with his paintings.. and they also appear on walls in several countries.....
