Anti -Christian policies coming

There are disturbing antichristian policies coming out of Washington. I hope everybody speaks up to their elected officials!
One of the above links has petitions to sign against "hate crimes" legislation, for marriage amendment and more.

In my opinion, this is all sensationalism. I really don't take any of it seriously.

If we believers would concentrate our efforts on witnessing and being Christ-like examples, stop our public political demonstrating, instead using the ballot box to speak our mind, getting our message out through one-on-one interactions and church related activities, would we have a greater impact on this culture? This whole political system is secular, and we've been trying to change public policty by using the tools it provides, but shouldn't we perhaps try a different tact? Maybe it's time we went underground, so to speak, and work differently.

How so? Do you realize the population of Saskatchewan?
There's maybe 100 people throughout the whole province...not enough people to even operate a carnival let alone attend one

SO let's see according to one of the articles in the links given these anti-christian policies are

- Saying it's OK for the federal government to funds to groups that perform abortions.
- Getting rid of don't ask, don't tell.
- Adding sexual orientation to the list of categories covered under federal hate crimes laws. (are christians planning on beating up gay people?)
- Supporting civil unions for same sex couples. (is that going to get rid of christian marriages?)

What exactly is anti christian about these policies? Non-christian? Possibly, depending on your own view of christianity. But there's nothing anti-christian about them. An anti-christian law would be something like not allowing christians to go to get married.

I totally agree. So many Christians would rather elect politicians who enact laws that force others to act like Christians, rather than us get out and do what the Great Commission commands. For example, I've talked to several strong pro-lifers who when pressed, tell me all they've ever done to advance their cause is to vote republican and point fingers at those who don't.

OneNewsNow is the internet "news" arm of F. Donald Wildmon's "American Family Association" out of Tupelo, Missisippi, and staffed by his sons. Wildmon, an erstwhile Methodist minister started it after becoming upset about TV shows with blue language and plots like Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman and Soap. We used to get their newsletter. It was bizarre to say the least. They had Mrs. Grundys all over the continent reviewing TV shows for sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll. I remember one particular review of The Drew Carey Show where the reviewed was so shocked that in much of the scenes the main characters sat around drinking at a bar. Needless to say, Wildmon and family's apparatus is extremely far right, though now worth millions due to their investments in "Christian" radio stations. In short, alarmism and sensationalism and all out efforts to instill public fear is their business plan.

Let's see if I understood this correctly. Opposing hate crimes is anti-Christian and hate crimes are pro-Christian? Hating and hurting others is a Christian thing? Since when?
