On July 7, 2007, Dr. Erwin Loh, Owner of Christian Forums, announced that a great new era in the site was about to begin. We, the Membership of Christian Forums, are now responsible for the development and implementation of all rules both for the entire site and in each sub category. It is crucial that all members participate in the process to insure that the needs of all members are met. To participate in the development and implementation of the new rules:
- Look for announcements of major rule wikis in the announcement section and as a sticky. Links will be provided to each wiki. If you are unsure how to participate in the wiki process, please read this before beginning: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wiki
- General Forum Wiki Rules will be developed over a period of time until membership appears to be satisfied with the way the rules are written. When no changes to the rules are made, then, this is considered a consensus of the membership, and the rules have been voted in.
- Lesser Wiki rules may be developed by offering options that will be discussed, added, edited by the membership. Then, the options will be voted upon via a poll, and will be added to the General Forum Wiki Rules.
- Sub-Forum Wiki rules may be developed using either method and is entirely up to the membership of those sub-forums.
- Participation in the development of General Rules is encouraged by all membership. However, participation in Sub Forum rules should be limited to those members who regularly post in those categories.
- Patience and respect for other members view points in the process should be actively embraced. In some cases, the process may take a great deal of time to reach a consensus. In other cases, agreement may be reached easily. It is a good idea to use the Golden Rule as a guideline to your behavior in this process.
