The truth is that the alter calls that billy Graham used were biblical. He called for repentance, he would pray with those who came forward. Nothing wrong with that at all.

Its all Decision Theology. Graham DID preach the gospel, but then he pointed people back to themselves and the law. He told them that there was something they could do to be saved.
The Lord's Supper is the Biblical Altercall. However, it is where God's renews His promise with us and not the other way around.
Wrong God must call first, Decision theology is heresyFirst one must come to Christ, billy Graham was an evangelist who showed people they needed Christ.
The Holy Spirit showed them that need. We can tell people of their need, but that is not the same as turning hearts towards God and their sin.First one must come to Christ, billy Graham was an evangelist who showed people they needed Christ.

Don't matter. Dicision theology is bad. One doesn't decide to follow Christ, Christ calls themHave you considered that evangelists can be used by God? Wasn't the apostle paul an evangelist? Doesn't the bible say that God chooses some to be evangelists?

The apostle paul was an evangelist.
And Luke was a doctor. Your point is?
There is a whole lot you are very, very ignorant of and make up the rest. Its called preaching the Gospel, not decision theology.

I have to say that I am completely against any call to follow Christ where the recipient and everyone around him or her are told to close their eyes, and secretly the person is to raise their hand, while the pastor acknowledges their bold statement of faith, and no one eles is the wiser who just came into faith.........this is utterly ridiculas
My point is that calling people to repent is not false doctrine.
How you are in this thread, you don't follow the Bible you follow yourself. There is no verse that says you must go to an altar pray and bingo your in.
Asking people in the height of an emotional sermon to come to the alter and say a cookie cutter prayer for salvation isn't repentance. It takes the emphasis off Christ and His work and puts is solely on the persons decision to say a prayer.
