The problem isn't the person's political leanings. The problem is the criminal behaviour and the dangerous behaviour (leading to insurrection and schemes to steal the election) that McDaniel has engaged in.

Rachel Maddow's piece is very good. At no point does she complain that McDaniel is a conservative or a right winger.
