Oh yes, I don't mind working till 9 at night. In fact it's perfect. I am NOT a morning person and neither is Ken, we're both really good at night. So, Monday nights I'll work till 9 and be home by 9:30 or so, and then I can sleep in the next morning. We both go to bed around midnight right now and wake up at 8-8:30 and that's just how it is. My other alternative was to be to work by 6:30 and that wasn't a cheerful thought LOL.

It's perfect too because Ken likes to write a lot, and granted he will slow down when we get married but he enjoys writing about the Bible and going deeper (the stuff goes way over my head) so that will give him a couple of hours to do that before I get home, that way we can go and have fun.

I'll be working from 1-9 or 9:30 on Mondays and Fridays, 1-6 on Wednesdays, and like 8:30-close (don't know when it is but I think it's around 2 or 3) on Thursdays with Tuesdays off. That is, after training is done.

I'm pretty excited. Went in for a regular adjustment today and they didn't know I had gotten the job but I told them and everyone was thrilled. My doctor even jumped up and down LOL! He's a great guy, and they're all great Christians :)

39 days to go!

Wake up the thread!

Let's see...

I have signed up for TheMarriageBed's generous wife daily tips and some of them are great. There is also a generous husband daily tip sent right to your email. Here is the link for it :) http://www.the-generous-husband.com/ great tips I assure you!

Tip of the day for marriage...

Pay attention to your words and the tone of your speech. Does your speech and tone reflect condemnation or concern? Be sure that she knows that you want her.

Another thing that I thought of, coming from a woman who's fiance almost dumped her last night...well not really but anyway...

I want to be wanted. I want to be pursued, even now before marriage. I want to know that he wants me and he's willing to do anything for me. I want him to show that and to be sensitive that it is a security to me. :)

Hmmmm that's a hard one...I was thrilled to find them, they're really really helpful tips (and I think the tips will be great for you, I checked out the ones for this week and several of them reached my heart) but I don't know a thing about her so I couldn't tell you. If I told my fiance about them he might jump in and do it, but females are more sensitive.

Maybe you could causally bring it up...I dunno how though...lol

Another piece of advice...

Don't try to do them all. She'll figure out that you've got something up your sleeve. Implement them spontaneously. Also, some of them are obviously for only marriage, so be sure to either save them (I have a seperate folder in my inbox for them) or make them more PG. :) Good luck...I don't know how I"d ask your girl though...I'm different than most and I love any advice I can get that's free (lol) so I just pick up on these things and don't take them personally.

I got my first email from the list today, very cool. I wonder though if anyone would ever look at it like 'oh you don't know how to be sweet to me without instructions?' I know any advice is good, we read an engagment book together. Just wonder ya know, like what if your love did something really sweet for you but you find out it wasn't his idea? But I think the list does have good advice, just conversatin:)

45 days, really missing my honey, I can't wait to marry her:)

38 days...I get to see my love every day and it's wonderful. And of course I do look forward to marrying him. After a VERY rough weekend I am finally up in the clouds again and this has made him up in the clouds too, wanting me more passionately and lovingly than ever. In a clean way, of course ;)

Some women really would mind. But what I keep in mind is that guys sometimes just don't know how to show love to their girl and sometimes help is needed. AND, if they are willing to go find help and to follow the advice, then that alone is a loving gesture that a few guys forget out of selfishness. If she finds out, she finds out. But it need not be known, which is why you should do it sporatically...and if she finds out it's fine.

But you have a head on your shoulders, you're right, a lot of women would feel like it's not really their man loving them. If only they looked deeper and understood that the man was trying to love her the best he could. The book for that girl to read is the 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman. Actually, I think everyone should read it but that's JMHO. :)

Had an awesome day today, it was my first day at my new job. And I love it. It is by far the best job I've ever had. Sure they sped me along quickly and poured a million and one things into my open brain but 9 hours went by and I didn't even notice it. Didn't feel it. That's how much I enjoyed it. Tomorrow will be a bit of a different story as we have a LOT of people coming in and it will be busy busy. At least I had this first day to just take it easy and learn things. It was just good, we got to talk about the Lord a lot, about our families, everything while working. Very laid back and wonderful! I am just so thankful that I have a job now! I am like a zillion times happier and relieved and now I'm excited about the wedding again!

Oh! I guess I didn't tell you :)

I've been without work for 5 weeks and at one of my chiropractor appointments my doctor pointed out that they were looking for help there. I love the place because they're Christian, all of them and their mission is to care for people in a genuine matter. This also gets related to the employees and they are treated with utmost respect and kindness. It's wonderful.

I am going to be a receptionist once I'm through with my training. Yesterday they trained me to the computers and I picked it up really fast so I know I'm going to love the job...it's a stress free environment even when it's busy!

Congratulations to you both on your upcoming marriages! Mine is in 38 more days, 09-08-07! It's been wonderful and stressful at the same time! We have 4 kids total between his 2 and my 2, and they are all pretty excited. It seems like it's getting so close now but not close enough!

All the last minute details are starting to get to me a little, like what songs to play for which dance and when which deposit is due when. And where to find a cake knife and server set in ivory and not white. Geeezzzzz!

But my fiance has been so wonderful through it all and sets aside special time for just me, even if it's just to cuddle up and watch a movie on the sofa.

I think that's a great tip. Schedule special time just for the two of you when you're not stressed, not hurried and just can enjoy your time together. Go for a walk, cuddleon the sofa, or enjoy a good meal together without the TV on. Maybe plan a date night.

Again, I wish you blessings on your upcoming marriages and many happy years together!!! God Bless You!!!

I guess I'm keeping this alive. I wanna do this till I get married, it'll probably die. It seems pointless but it's a fun challenge.

Here's a tip.

Keep an eye on your humor and let it be uplifting to your wife rather than something that could potentially discourage her or hurt her feelings.

33 days! Whoo hoo! And 40 for you! Go us! Hope you had an awesome day with your fiancee :)

We had a good day at the beach...we even managed to take a walk a few times by ourselves on the shore, there were a million people but it was nice anyway. It was a good day away, by the end of the day we were pooped :D Of course, things took an interesting turn. My brother, Josh has been in quite a bit of trouble, but seems to be doing better. However, due to a restraining order set on him by his former "girlfriend" (who is an absolute...jerk) he's not allowed to go into NH without a parent. SOooooooooooo...my parents came with us, no big deal. On the way back, however, because of traffic issues, Josh got way ahead of the crew...and then proceeded to...speed. And got caught. Thankfully by a baptist pastor lol who was "nice" to him. However, my parents had to go back to wherever he was (about an hour away from us all) and escort him home. So that meant my little sisters had to come spend the night at my house...which meant that I had to pack for them, then give up my room and go to Ken's house.

It was nice though, Ken slept on the couch and I slept on what will soon be our bed. And what a nice bed. I soooooooo sleep well on it!

Anyway...lol randomness...

Here is a tip :)

You can not say anything you feel anytime you feel like it and have
your marriage stay healthy. A wise Jewish proverb reminds us that
the "tongue has the power of life and death" (Proverbs 18:21).
Today, choose words that will bring a joyful life to your partner.

Yes it does get overwhelming but try to take care of everything so that the week before your wedding you can more or less relax and enjoy...umm singleness? No, just enjoy the anticipation rather than just running around crazy, emotions running high, mood swings galore, you get the point.

31 days, no real tip today :D
