Finally a game that I expected from the Rangers/Indians a tight one run game. Holland did alright pitching 6 innings but would like to have seen him go 7, hope he stays this way down the stretch and into the playoffs...

Dyson either needs to fix his slider or start throwing it more to the left side of the plate, he was missing badly cause it was sailing on him...

See they held Beltran out of the game but Gomez was playing, wonder how long Banny will stick with Gomez before he pulls him? I realize he's playing good defense but he's what now 1-12 and still chasing very bad pitches...

I think they pulled Holland (only watched last three innings) since this was his second start coming back. So far two good starts one ER each time. Hope he is the lights out Holland from late 2014. We need that.

Gomez did make a nice on the wall snag. Banny gives him the role until call ups IMO.

Or he platoons him with Rua.

Bush needs to close. I don't like these roles of set up and closer. Bush for the time being needs to close. He comes in throws heat gets strike outs and other outs and has more 1-2-3 innings lately than the other relievers. Banny probably does not want to put that pressure on him yet.

I thought Kela would be the closer by now but since his return he has been shaky and blew some leads.

He only threw 84 pitches and he got into a little trouble in the 6th so I guess they figured discretion was the better part of valor and decided to pull him...

He's 30 now he should be past that problem of (insecurity) feeling pressure, just go out and do your job and you will be fine. You should know all about this the military beats it into you real fast...

Well he's up to 1 for 19, he needs a little session with Iopoce to figure out what's wrong and fix it...

Indeed. He had a rough 8th inning giving up a run but minimizing the damage. Was lights out in the 9th. For some reason the 8th is not good for him. 7th fine, 9th lights out, extra innings superb.

Nice walk off for Roogie making up for the bad base running in the 7th.

Beltre willed that high fastball base hit in the 9th. Then for some reason Diaz threw a heater in Roogies wheel house. Lol he will get plunked tomorrow. He did a small flip and watched the ball go over the fence.

Think he got two hits tonight. One a bunt base hit.

Cole was doing great and had a rough 4th with little break between innings. 5th was not nice to him either. Claudio did great.

I would imagine Adrian/Beltran/both had a little chat with him about taking chances when the time is right not when the time is wrong and could cause you to lose...

Maybe, I seen the replay and it didn't look to be too egregious to me. Didn't look like many of the Mariners were watching him they were watching the ball sail out of the park. In all the years I played and coached I can't say if any of my guys stood there and admired their work or not, I never paid any attention to them I was watching were the ball was going...

I said early this year that Roogie would eventually end up in the 5 slot and do well there, looks like Banny took the hint :) Would also imagine this years performance is moving him up the 10 best 2B list also, he was 9th/10th to start the year IIRC... Would also imagine Altuve has moved up to the top spot with the way he's played...

Beltre willed that high fastball base hit in the 9th.

Some guys can get around on the high pitch but I would have to say he was looking for it to begin with, after 18 years in MLB I would imagine he knows the book the pitchers have on him...

My guess is Iopoce is trying to get him to change his approach from trying to get a hit every time to just having a productive at bat every time. Which means hit according to the situation whether the team needs a walk, a sac fly, sac bunt, get plunked, or pick the best pitch and drive it, some guys just never understand the wisdom of this...

Well may be paying off. Carlos just hit a granny off of Felix.
