You are referencing people in the old testament?? And not the new covenant?? How convenient for you. Unfortunately, in the new covenant it clearly states that it's easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than a rich man entering the kingdom of God. Furthermore, it says the love of money is the root of all evil.

Uh, no.

It does say it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle. But the next verse has the apostles asking who then can be saved. So clearly that verse does not say the rich are worse and perhaps even allows that they have their wealth through the favor of God. But that they still are not good enough by a long shot.

And Scripture does not say that money is the root of all evil. The closest one can come is that the LOVE OF MONEY is the root of all evil. One can have wealth and still not love money.
