I would live to see a forum that would allow for discussion and debate of theology and apologetics.
I am currently a former believer who would love to be convinced of the truth of Christianity again. As a seeking atheist I don't qualify to post in the Christian forums and there is currently no forum in the discussion and debate section that allows us to specifically adress theological and apologetics questions.
It seems to me like such a forum would be a good place for moderated discussion between believers and non believers about the specific theological claims and the supporting apologetics of Christianity.

Looking forward to your thoughts :)

Peace

There is discussion on this sort of topic -- I can't give any of the specifics or even if this type of forum will exist in the future.
Fair enough but you see the conundrum right? To be honest I have to admit that at present I an atheist but I would love to engage in the theology and study with Christians. If I do this in the Christian only forums I am both breaking the rules and I risk turning an in house discussion of faith into a chrostian/atheist debate or discussion. I think there should be a space for the two worldviews to interact intentionally so that those Christians who are inclined to this kind of conversation could participate and non believers could engage in a more honest way.
Thoughts?

Thought there already was a christian apologetics forum...in general non believers kind of gatecrash into christian discussions anyway. But i think its a good idea.

Because then we can direct people there if they want to ask questions but arent in the new believer category. And then they wont derail discussions.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I don't want to be that gate crasher guy in a place that is supposed to be for believers. I try to abide by the forum rules but if I did it would be pretty much impossible to have a believer / non-believer conversation about theology.

Anyway thanks for your thoughts.
