Does anyone else on here follow Christian Gnosticism?

I don't consider myself Gnostic, but only Christian as I believe by faith Jesus died for us all on the cross and rose again. However, I do want to know Christ as there is always something to learn about His ways.

Of course not. Gnosticism was a widespread heretical religious philosophy prevalent in the early centuries of the Christian era. The apostles, orthodox patristic writers, etc.. condemned and refuted the gnostic heresies which were being propagated by a large number of pseudo-Christian teachers and sects.

Gnostic thinking is heretical. Its mythological setting of redemption leads to a depreciation of the historical events of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. Its view of man’s relationship to God leads to a denial of the importance of the person and work of Christ, while, in a Gnostic context, "salvation" is not understood in terms of deliverance from sin, but as a form of existential self-realization.

But salvation is not by revelation per se, but is rather by God’s promise enacted in Christ’s justifying death and resurrection. God’s work in Christ saves, not revelation, though understanding is essential to the mediation of God’s redemptive work (Rom. 10:17).

The Pastoral Epistles denounce explicitly "what is falsely called gnōsis" (1 Tim. 6:20), and 1 John likewise speaks against a gnostic background. The new testament writers themselves condemn the ideas inherent in Gnosticism and though they often use Gnostic terminology in doing so, make it clear that they do not accept its Gnostic connotations.

These strains of Gnostic fabrication and syncretion were soundly condemned and refuted in antiquity. Furthermore, Christian was never dependent on paganism whatsoever see here). Of course, the answer is NO.

What is salvation outside of the perception of it (which becomes the truth that we live), and how do you separate yourself from this salvation, to do so is to separate yourself from God as being this eternal truth that salvation is.

Most have a relationship with a book, and not the definer of it, as where they have come from (always looking outside of themselves) though nothing is out of order), which is how Jesus spoke of himself as well; but again, most don't understand yet what Jesus meant (in the light of the OT) when he said you could not add to yourselves by thought (though all things work for the good of them).

What's Christian Gnosticism
It's people who claim to have special knowledge.

Whereas God's Word is for all to read and learn, if they are so motivated. (This is why prayerful Bible reading is so important, when there are people around who claim to know better.)

I am not a christian, but I have read all of the Gnostic gospels and they really resonate with me, especially with living a vegan lifestyle and believing in peace and non violence for all. As a matter of fact it was through reading these gospels that I think that Jesus was actually a real person and a great teacher and tried to help mankind, but religion and the church took over and corrupted the teachings. The Essene Gospel of Peace is very powerful. Have you studies the history of the Essenes? It's really interesting!

Actually, the aforementioned link in post #3 addresses this
commonly-accepted bit of misinformation.

An excerpt:

"Gnosis" did not mean secret knowledge as
opponents charged; new gospels (without
belittling or replacing biblical gospels) teach it
meant "knowing" Christ and God as one knows
a friend.

If you want to learn about Jesus, might i suggest the gospel of Thomas?
And why would the Gospel of Thomas -- a fake Gospel -- give more insight into Christ than the four Gospels we already have? If the Gospel of Thomas was indeed Scripture, it would have become Scripture. Here's a sample of its fakery:

THE LIE
And he said, "Whoever discovers the interpretation of these sayings will not taste death." (Gospel of Thomas Prologue)

THE TRUTH

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? (John 11:25,26).

THE LIE
Jesus said, "Those who seek should not stop seeking until they find. 2 When they find, they will be disturbed. 3 When they are disturbed, they will marvel, 4 and will rule over all." (Gospel of Thomas Prologue).

THE TRUTH
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. (John 14:1-4).

If you were smart you would know that what books were going to be in the bible were voted on in the first council of Nicene. To say that it is a fake gospel also leaves yours vulnerable to the same statement. As for the so-called lies. READ THIS STUFF BEFORE YOU IGNORANTLY AND ARROGANTLY ATTEMPT TO CONTRADICT IT BECAUSE IN THE SECOND "LIE" JESUS IS TALKING ABOUT HEAVEN YOU MORON AND HE SPEAKS ABOUT DEATH OF THE SOUL IN THE FIRST!

It is elementary to say that you sow in others what you reap in yourself (speaking of soul); it is an enemy that sows tares.
