Hey folks, I feel a little inspired to start a thread here that is purely for the purpose of lifting up Christ's Love for his sheep. We are all in different stages of this Journey to the Promised Land, and I'm sure we have plenty of different interpretations and opinions on scripture... But how much do we have to say about what we have in common, what keeps us on The Path, and what helps us when we're feeling down or doubtful. There seems to be a lot of division in the church today and too much focus on these can scare and confuse new believers. Besides, in the end, the only one who really knows what's really right, is God.
That being said if anyone feels inspired to join in on this thread, please do, for the purpose of bringing us together in Love. Whether it's a psalm that always gives you great joy, a story of yours that brought you closer to Christ, or a loved one that is saved/unsaved that you would like us to all pray for, please contribute... with Love
At the risk of being redundant, I Love you all!

Example
-Please pray for my friend David. He has been a friend of mine for a long time now, and I just found out yesterday that he has been using methamphetamine for almost a year. I have been helping him move, and witnessing Christ's love to him the whole time, I know that our talks today planted a seed, please pray that it may grow. ( sorry to bring up such a dark subject, but he just really really needs Jesus in his life right know just like we all do)-

There is great call in us to be led to share what is uplifting to any others. We who are believers should have a good deal in common with love for Yahweh God and following Christ with faith. Yet it is true there is great diversity with what many of us believe with us being in different places in our walks. There is plenty of what God knows is really right that we should know revealed with what is in the Bible, for us. Enough is missed with many going in diverse directions with their own understandings they have, yet such is written there that we can grow, and it is made possible for all believers, and some of this is to show in all of them, indicating what is for assurance of their security of salvation in Christ as believers. Such further growth beyond where believers are that is with their repentance will include drawing closer in relationship with God, through Christ, with love and obedience growing with that, and with further love, grace, compassion, mercy, patience, and righteousness without compromising shown with it including more and more others, and knowledge for sharing the gospel of Christ shown in the scriptures.

There is unity for believers to come to, with being in Christ, that is shown from the Bible, as with those earliest believers, as shown in what is written of the Acts of the Apostles doing so as they quickly grew to right away, without others in the culture showing them anything to inspire such, other than Christ with what he taught and his apostles, who led them.

Sure, I can pray for David too.

Faith in Christ with really trusting is enough itself to really unite believers, if they will live according to that with repentance for sin. It should involve being in communion with Yahweh God, through Christ in willingness for obedience, with that, we can know God's care for us, and in that nothing overwhelms us. It is involving challenge for us to come to really living that way, but we who are with this faith in Christ are certainly enabled for it with God's Spirit present with us, according to God's sure promise, with what is of God's word.

In the I Sam 30 account, David and his men returned to camp and found their dwellings burnt and their wives and families gone. The guys who just fought with David talked of killing him.

The order is interesting.
- David wept until he couldn't
- then he encouraged himself in The Lord
- only then did he ask Yahweh what to do (didn't make assumptions).

" For it is those who are led by the Spirit of God who are the sons of God." Rom 8:14 Gal 4:6 "And because you are sons, God sent · the Spirit of his Son into · our hearts, who cries out “Abba! · Father!"

It can be observed that the "guys who ... talked of killing him" were inclusive of many of the champions David had as King of Israel, and it was inclusive of his brothers and their sons with him.

This order shows David to be human and much like we are with our circumstances, and Yahweh can and does work with that, with good resulting from it for those who love Yahweh. But it doesn't have to go in that order at all. We should deal with and process our feelings, but there is no reason that makes it needed that we do any thing before we who are believers in relationship in Christ come to Yahweh, for help, and seek from God what we are to do.

Hi Fred VB - good to see you again.
David dealt with his emotions by grieving first then encouraged himself in The Lord. David deliberately put his focus back on Yahweh before he asks Him what to do. Agree that this process isn't the only way to approach Yahweh but definitely noteworthy. Please post Scripture(s) that shows a better way to hear His voice particularly in times of crisis?

Did a study earlier about being on "one accord." It's noted several times in Scripture and believe it is a vital key for His believers, for His church.

prayed for David, too.

Heard this yesterday and it was encouraging:
"Faith is our title deed of things hoped for."
"Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses]. For by this [kind of] faith the men of old gained [divine] approval. By faith [that is, with an inherent trust and enduring confidence in the power, wisdom and goodness of God] ..." Amp 11:1-3

Glad to be talking with you again, Tturt, too. Have you been seeing any of my recent communication?

Processing and grieving are important in our needed response to deal with some things, I don't say otherwise. I do say that there is nothing that should hold believers who have been restored to relationship with Yahweh back from going to Yahweh in their need. Agreed focus should be on Yahweh then with that. In David's case in that event, it may be noted that he had wandered into handling things in his way without seeking Yahweh's will for a while, with despairing in some things with his circumstances, though it could have been remembered that he aleady had a following that continued with him, that was a provision through this. So in his case he had need to turn back to focusing on Yahweh, and this will apply for us if we wandered away from life in relationship and inclusion of Yahweh, through Christ with our faith with whom it is possible. Scriptures are full of ways being shown to hear from Yahweh, which can't be missed with really looking through the Bible

Being in accord with what we are to know from Christ and apostolic teaching is important, and with other thinking in topics otherwise we should not let division from being in godly fellowship of believers come from that. Thanks for sharing that perspective of faith and what we hope for, from Hebrews, I like that understanding.

Thanks FredVB.

Just ran across another "one accord" Scripture:
"It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the Lord, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord; ..."
