Quick introduction and background story of myself.

I am a 26 year old Korean-American individual. I strongly believe I have recently received a calling to attend seminary. For the past two years I've been a youth pastor at my local church, while being a full time physical therapy student. It has been sheer conviction that allowed me to succeed in school while giving time to my group of students. At this point, I want to continue ministry and my heart longs for a stronger foundation of biblical knowledge.

I will obtain my Doctorate of Physical Therapy next summer. I plan to enroll in seminary right after I graduate (this way, my repayment process won't start until after I graduate seminary). And ultimately, I believe that God wants me to become a bivocational pastor. Given my situation, what is everyone's best advice in beginning my journey into seminary? I'm asking specifically about financial aid options. I am trusting that God will provide, but I would like to take advantage of opportunities that are out there. I will come out of Physical Therapy school in a lot of debt and simply cannot pay for seminary. Are there SOLID reformed seminaries out there that provide a lot of financial assistance? I am trying to receive some support from my church, but my church is not financially well.

Any advice and encouragement will be highly appreciated. Thanks!

I can't speak for other seminaries but I know the seminary I attended, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, did have some scholarship options. I couldn't say what they were off the top of my head simple because the options varied depending on which school a student was enrolled in (school of theology, missions, etc) or would be attending. I think the best way to feel out what sort of scholarships or financial aid options you may have would be to make a list of schools you would be interested in attending and start researching what they offer.

dreaminofireland has good advice. Do a lot of research and ask specific questions about financial aid options. Don't let the recruiter tell you they have all the financial aid and then later after you've enrolled you find out otherwise.
If you can, set up appointments with the heads or the assistant heads of the departments you need to speak to. You may have to work around their schedule, because they are very busy, but you'll get a lot more helpful information from them and it will be more accurate for your case.

Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary has a large community of Korean and Korean-American students, so I think that they probably know a great deal about making seminary education financially feasible for someone in your situation. Their financial aid director is named Jason Gill.
