Yes. I have been following it quite closely. It is apparently the largest military drill on US soil in US history. There is a lot of speculation as to why it is happening and it doesn't look good for US citizens. It may have something to do with an impending economic collapse that could occur sometime in September/October of 2015. There also seems to be a connection to the Wal-Mart closings that are occurring across the country. There have been reports of military vehicles being located behind these Wal-Mart stores. There have also been reports by contractors that these Wal-Marts are being transformed into detention centers complete with guard towers. I know that sounds pretty off the wall but the information is all over the net. There is supposedly a connection between Wal-Mart and the Department of Homeland Security. I know it all sounds crazy but if you recall history it really isn't that far fetched. IBM and Ford actually conspired with the NAZIs.

The dots on a person's mailbox have nothing at all to do with any conspiracy. Rather, they're more likely the work of a newspaper courier, utility service technician, or other blue-collar stiff flagging houses that require routine service.

I work for a small-town newspaper. I have a number of roles at the paper, including "courier". This means that I'm responsible for getting customers their newspapers each morning.

As part of it, we use bright orange dots to mark the mailboxes / driveways / whatever else is prominent at our customers' houses. The dots are reflective, such that on a clear night we can see them from 2+ blocks away. Given that a lot of home owners in town actively ignore the city requirements concerning house number visibility, this is a Godsend when it comes to finding everyone.

A competing newspaper, meanwhile, uses three colors of dots: blue for daily delivery, yellow for (IIRC) weekend-only delivery and red for (IIRC) Sunday-only delivery. (We don't offer such service tiers, hence we use only the one color.)

As you can imagine, it goes not make me happy whenever someone gets it in their head to try and peel my dots off. Fortunately, the two biggest offenders have distinct features which allow me to see them even at night, and so I can compensate accordingly.

A Conspiracy Theory (two or more people, secretly planning an evil event) it only a conspiracy until proven fact.

I am in Texas and work with a colleague who is a member of the Texas State Guard. They have been called out by the Governor to "keep an eye on Jade Helm". We will see what happens.

A military coup... in Texas? How would that work, exactly?

Texas does not need Federal Bribery, er, I mean Aid.

Like I said, no one knows if Jade Helm is two or more people secretly planning something evil (conspiracy theory), but we are suspicious maybe because of past conspiracy theories that have come true.

It was thought at one time that automated facial recognition scanners on ATM machines was a conspiracy theory or that eye scanners would be put into public schools. Silly, isn't it?

Thanks to Edward Snowden we now know several conspiracy theories about the NSA snooping on fellow Americans are true.

We thought it was a conspiracy theory that the NSA is recording all of our phone calls and storing them at a 2 billion dollar complex in Utah which takes 40 million dollars a year just to supply power to.

Okay, so the U.S. military runs large-scale multi-branch exercises every summer. The dots on the mailboxes are so the paper boy will know where to put my paper. And the Wal-Mart closings were a ploy to interrupt incipient unionization votes in several stores.

But can we get Texas to secede anyway? Because I am nine kinds of through with Texas.

This was because word hadn't yet reached either side that the war was over.

For reasons unknown, a Union military officer decided to break a truce between the Union and Confederate forces in Texas by striking out at a Confederate camp. The end result was the Battle of Palmito Ranch, in which the Union forces were repelled with shockingly heavy casualties.

We should just give Texas back to Mexico.

Sounds like these conspiracy theorists, must have all watched the movie; Seven days in May.

I hear this all the time... but the fact is... Mexico only controlled most of Texas for 15 years
from 1821 to 1836... before that, most of Texas and Mexico belonged to Spain. Northern Texas
was part of the USA's "Louisiana Purchase" from France.
