I think that it is very common for single people our age to find ourselves spending lots of time alone. I am one of them. I have no family relations. My friends are married. The ones who are not are busy spinnng their wheels trying to make ..........
I just spend 3 days this weekend with 36 people, most of whom I didn't know.
Hi-There's nothing wrong with feeling this way. I agree with what another said, that God created Eve so that Adam would not be alone. We are not meant to be loners, we are meant to share life with others. Why else is the Church called the "Body of Christ". A body is not a singular unit, it is made up of many parts, that don't function independently, but depend on each other. I also suffer with feelings of loneliness & isolation bc I am now single again after being married for almost 20 years. All my girlfriends are married and busy with their families, it is impossible to get them to do anything! Being a female, I do not feel safe going for a walk/hike alone or many other activities by myself. Much of the time I wish I had new friends. I have decided that I will be moving in a couple of years in search for a new church, and mission in life. Hopefully, you & I can both make some great friends on this site-God Bless!I'm glad you said that. I have never understood that man island quote. I have heard it a few times, and it never makes sense to me. I suppose it is a man thing, not complete without God.
I just don't understand how come it is confusing you both that I'm saying "God fills all of our needs."
Is there any other poster reading this that doesn't feel alone in God? Or am I alone, with God? : )
