Hello, May I humbly ask if what does the bible say about hypnosis, is it a
sin or unfavorable to the Lord?

I m under attack by a group of people that can read my mind. My family says its something else (a sickness) but I know in my heart that its not and my problems has an unnatural nature.

I can hear them inside my consciousness, talking. I can confidently say that I can differentiate between "real" voices and sounds from "these" inside me.

I m considering trying hypnotic therapy to solve my problem. But I m not sure if its going to be wrong before the Lord.

It may not be necessary. 90 % of the time these are voices our brain disguises as different because we cannot admit we would consider such things. Others could be an extreme case of "self" consciousness, what are called "projections", when we think that perhaps people think these things about us (but they really do not) but we make the mistake of believing what we imagine to be true and so we project these thoughts onto others to satisfy our suspicions (this can indicate we are experiencing a mild neurotic form of disassociative personality disorder and probably need therapy of some sort.

I had a close friend once who caught his wife having sex with his best friend. He punched him and after the divorce went for about six months without a date (he was in a bad place). He began projecting that everyone thought he was an )$(*^)& when walking down a street he would randomly sneer at a person he believed thought this abuot him (but they did not even know him or what happened) and then he would shout accusatory curse words at them and they would turn and call him an ($&%(*^) at which point he would turn and say "See! I told you thy think I am an )&$$(&)!!!!" (*&$** = the rear orifice of a Donkey)...the truth was that because he believed his projection on them he acted like one toward them eliciting there response.

But whatever the case, the Bible says God has not given us a spirit of fear but of love, power, and a sound mind. And we can "transform ourselves by the renewing of our mind" because "whatsoever a man believes in his heart so is he".

It gives us many hints and instructions on how to achieve this but it requires practice. You have a mind you are not your mind. You can say no to your mind, take your thoughts OFF of one line of reasoning and put it ON other things. You have to learn and practice "casting down imaginations" that exalt themselves against Christ and against the truth. One example is using the word of God as a sword (our mind says one thing and we say no to it and replace it with what God says about the matter), another is as Peter says that we must "gird up the loins of our mind" (and all know the mind has loins...much of appetites, lusts, and ego issues are such loins) and Paul tells us what to gird with....TRUTH....what is truth? Jesus prays in John 17:17-20 "Sanctify them by the truth Father, your word is truth."

Your mind is likened to a garden....what you plant and cultivate will produce fruit...so what do you want to plant? As oft as you can sow to the Spirit (plant and cultivate the fruit of the Spirit....fruit take time to grow so do not grow weary and in due season you WILL reap)...I have never met a person who can actually consistently read the mind of another but some on some occasions can anticipate what or how you may think or perceive in certain situations (it is more intuitive than specific and it comes from knowing you, what you believe, what you express and feel, etc.).

Feel free to ask about these things

In His love

Paul
