MArtial arts has no place in a holy Spirit filled life

the wonderful attitude in the question "Lord ..is it I " is a desire within the bounds of LOVE for the LORD a desire to know if anything in ones self is in discord..or even at enmity with the lord ..it is an attitude of coming open hearted to the light of the Holy Spirit ,and allowing him to shine light .. to reveal any part of our life that is not of him and then a willingness to surrender that area of our life to his will that he may be ever changing us ,ever transforming us . for the very reason he bestowed his grace upon us and built a foundation of the rock (himself) for us ,is so that he may then along with us in unity and relationship with us , BUILD upon that foundation all things Godly .
It has never been about remaining as only a foundation .the purpose of a foundation is that it be built upon . Its is why there is a judgment of the saints ( not a judgment unto condemnation) for what they have built upon that foundation,with reward for it being works of silver and gold and of the spirit ,being Unperishable after being tried by fire .
only the lord can build such things upon his foundation .if we walk in the imaginations of our own hearts ,what we build will be no more than hay and stubble .stick huts which will not pass through the fire .

we will say but lord lord ,look at what iv built look at all the things i did in your name . and the lord (in essence)will say .."you did all these things but you never did the things in your life I was asking you to do ., you walked in your own will and out of guilt you did things "tagging my name upon it "(works of iniquity(guilt)) "
To walk IN the Spirit (of God ) is only possible by abiding IN the Holy Spirit .we cannot expect to walk in the perfect wil of God except we are ever endeavoring to do HIS will alone . and as we cannot serve two masters ..we must be ever endeavoring to lay down our own will to do so.

Dong whatever we please (self motivated ) and then tagging the lords name to it -is little more then taking his name in vain .
folks do this so often .. ouh but i will do this and that and it is my (self appointed reasoning, my personal justifications) sacrifice .

as it is written "It is better to obey then to sacrifice "
we are never called to take up that which is of a worldly spirit and put a different sign on the door and some how expect the demonic spirit behind it to vanish .

when you have pure water and you pour it into impure ..both are made impure
when you have impure water and you pour it into pure water ..both are made impure .
what fellowship has light with darkness ... ?
we must not deceive ourselves and then attempt to justify the deception by actions we take ..

Saul did this and the result was-he lost his authority .

Within A life filled with the Holy Spirit there are simply no true grounds to seek the worldly endeavours of the martial arts -they remain arts which are rooted in ancient worldly cultures and religions which have no fellowship with the truth of the lord Jesus .

the scriptures says -
" He who descended is the one who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.) And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, ......."

these apostles, prophets, evangelists, shepherds and teachers have a very distinct purpose .we are told it in the same text - as follows
- to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood,[e] to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.

A life in the Holy Spirit is a life surrendered to the purpose and will of God .. in acts 1:8 it tells us this purpose
-But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”- so we see the purpose of the infilling of the Holy Spirit is to empower us to be witnesses ,the purpose of the pastors and teachers etc, is to train us to do that work and to be disciples ,ones disciplined in the way of the lord.

a life in the Holy Spirit was never intended for us to put him on a shelf and go and train in "other " things of worldly origin and spirit .there is simply ZERO scriptural directive to do so .and if the scriptures are not testifying to such action then the desire and idea to do so it is not originating from the Holy Spirit ,for he is unable to contradict the word of God .

he goes on to say -

Now this I say and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds. They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart. They have become callous and have given themselves up to sensuality, greedy to practice every kind of impurity. But that is not the way you learned Christ!— assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus, to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness....

the very concept of martial arts training is an ideology rotted in the spirit of this world.. one trains to become proficient in the things we love doing .. we are to be proficient in the sharing of the gospel ,being that it is the purpose of the baptism of the Holy Spirit -for he bears witness with our Spirit that the lord Jesus is truth and empowers us to testify of that truth. THIS is what we are to train in and discipline ourselves in that we may become ever increasingly proficient at doing HIs will as he leads us to do so ..
