Do you really think that? I've seen clips of him speaking (never a whole speech) and I've read transcripts....

I wouldn't describe him as a good speaker. He seems to struggle to communicate effectively, stumbles over words and ideas, and often is just making "I can't tell you about it now, but trust me, I know what I'm doing" type claims.

In many ways, he's the antithesis of the liberal "intellectual" that the right sees on the left (even if it's not true). He's not talking down to the right....he's an idiot in a suit, but he sounds earnest to them.

I refuse to speak for my bloc. Besides generally these are a personality types. So you'll find all types throughout the policical spectrum

He may no longer be coherent, but if you see tapes of him from the 80s or 90s he can complete a sentence and express an idea. He had a certain kind of charm suitable to sales and glad handing that works for some people, but not others. (He frankly reminds me of a car salesman. To me the worst part of buying a car was encountering salesmen like Trump.) He's not the kind of person I would care to spend more than 30 seconds with, now or in the past.

I don't know why he isn't as coherent in public as he used to be. It could be age-related mental decline or maybe he just isn't as good a speaker when talking about subjects he doesn't care about.

(At least in his public appearances, behind the scenes tapes such as his Woodward interviews or the tape of the dinner provided by Lev Parnas at the beginning of the year show a more relaxed Trump that is more coherent))

If democracy was compromised by your party; if years of disenfranchisement of so many came to a head and you benefitted, would it matter to you?

You've been duped. The guy you supported is not what he claimed to be. In addition to criminal behavior and immoral behavior, he is damaging the country. You have played a role in this damage. Are you concerned about it or just in denial?

Biden also shows some signs of decline and is known to have worked to overcome a stutter. He tends to ramble after about 30 seconds of extemporaneous comment on random topics. He also clearly starts from a much higher level than Trump even though both show some decline.
