Michelle Obama's speech was awesome. Her sincerity and authenticity; her athletic, low-maintenance beauty was such a contrast to Melania Trump last week.

I kind of admire Melania, though. Her feeble attempt to make Michelle's words sound better, enhanced by pounds of makeup and a $2,000 dress, sure failed.

Elizabeth Warren, as usual, knows her stuff and speaks from the heart.

Now I am watching the mensch in chief, Bernie Sanders. While Trump is practicing "The Art of the Deal" with Vladimir Putin, watching the wikileaks unfolding, Sanders is sticking to his principles and working for his principles.

Bernie's principles won't be furthered by Donald Trump--or Gary Johnson.

But who can help but love Bernie Sanders--the sexiest septugenarian alive.

I have been watching Sanders and I can see that he feels very uncomfortable. He said the DNC was rigged and playing dirty as he experienced it first hand. Which makes me wonder why he agreed to endorse Clinton in the first place.

You misunderstand me. Melania Trump is a beautiful woman (much younger than me--I'm almost as old as her husband, and the first of his three wives).

She doesn't need all the makeup she uses, and I don't think it reflects well on a potential first lady.

Michelle Obama projects warmth and authenticity. What a joy she was on James Corden's Carpool Karaoke.

Being a generation older than Melania Trump (close to the age of her husband and the first of his three wives) I certainly would not compare myself to Melania in the looks department. I just aim for more smile lines than frown lines at this point.

Incidentally, is anyone here as disgusted by these politicized prayers (both the RNC and the DNC) as I am? Kudos for Ivanka's Rabbi for backing out on saying a prayer like that. Asking for guidance is one thing, but this God-is-on-our-side nonsense is close to blasphemous IMV.
