She might be. But then intelligence, while desirable, isn't the be all and end all. You can be intelligent yet grossly ignorant. You can be intelligent yet a quitter. You can be intelligent yet mean spirited, hypocritical and corrupt.

If you look into why she left the governorship, it was so she would make lawsuit harassment illegal. In order to do that, she had to leave the governorship, if she hadn't she would have been walking down the road to corruption.

Considering what has been happening with Russia lately, I'd say a lot of people that criticized her in all honesty have no business calling her ignorant.
