You obviously took this too far. The scriptures state that Jesus was crucified in Jerusalem and I believe you already knew that and would have no problem saying so under different circumstances.
Luke 13:33 Nevertheless I must journey on today and tomorrow and the next day; for it cannot be that a prophet would perish outside of Jerusalem. 34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, just as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you would not have it!
Matt. 20:17 [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] As Jesus was about to go up to Jerusalem, He took the twelve disciples aside by themselves, and on the way He said to them, 18 Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem; and the Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn Him to death,
The comparison between Egypt, Sodom and the great city where our Lord was crucified is mystical, which your explanation is not. The mystical comparison is as was revealed to me by the Holy Spirit that Jerusalem is called Egypt because it is where when Jesus was crucified we were released from our captivity of condemnation just as Israel, which is a title given to Christians, was released from captivity in Egypt. Jerusalem is mystically called Sodom because it is where when Jesus was crucified he wiped out sin just as he did when destroyed Sodom.

First, I want to thank you for using paragraphs in this response. Some of your posts are very difficult to read for my old eyes.
Secondly, I must disagree on the above. What is revealed to us by the Spirit
must find foundation within His Word or...it is in error and we need to keep searching.
Jerusalem is not
mystically called Sodom. Rather,
what is written is...
Revelation 11:8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
It is
the great city being spiritually called Sodom and Egypt....
not Jerusalem. Why is the great city "spiritually" given those names? Because it isn't a literal city and needs to be seen spiritually. She represents all of what Sodom and Egypt represent, wickedness and carnality. That great city is.....
Revelation 14:8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
16:19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
18:10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.
18:21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like agreat millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.
Our Lord was crucified in that great city Babylon, not Jerusalem, for she is the world ruled by the prince of darkness. He was crucified by, for and in her....
1 John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
