Would you murder someone for wealth and fame?

No.

I would rather be a poor and unknown person who was not a murderer.

What if nobody would ever know you killed anyone? I ask this question because a friend of mine who is a conspiracy theorist told me all famous people in Hollywood are Satanists who have to kill someone for the price of admission to the club.

Somebody would know - me.

I could never do something like that to a person whether or not someone know about it besides me. I would have to live with it and would therefore have to deal with that on my shoulders for the rest of my life, and I don't want that!

I have everything I need. There isn't enough wealth in the world to provide every thing I want. (That, I have been told, is the first law of economics.) So not for wealth. Wrath? Now that might be another story.

I have never understood the allure of fame.

Do you have someone specific in mind?

Not at all. Would I push the button to execute someone on death row? Maybe. Just saying, with as ill-defined a question as the OP gave us, there are a ton of options beyond what is being implied.

If I killed an intruder in my home I'd be okay with being rich and famous as a result.

Oh good grief-here we go. Yeah, sure. And Elvis is alive, Freemasons rule the world, governments are covering up UFO's, car companies buy out the rights to 100 Miles per gallon inventions and then bury it etc.

Is this thread for real?

What if all you had to do was kill someone to be rich and famous for life? Would you do it?

No.

Fame is a dubious value, and gaining money at the cost of self-respect is no value at all.

To put it in a way with which you might be more familiar: "And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?" - Mark 8:36
