I'm not sure whether I'll get to take any classes next semester. My advisor thinks that I should focus on research (I'm a grad student), and seems to be very reluctant to let me sign up for anything. He wanted me to take an undergrad programming class, but apparently the graduate college doesn't accept this for non-major graduate credit, so...

I am student teaching this fall, so that is 12 credits right there...I am going to be in an elementary school for the first half of the semester and a high school for the second half. I am excited for the elementary rotation because I think I will do better with the younger age groups (I have been in a middle school before and I actually like middle school, amazing I know) but I am nervous for the high school rotation. PRAY FOR ME!

In addition to teaching all day, 5 days a week for the entire semester, I have a class called Professional Seminar. I'm not really sure what that is all about but basically I know a big part of it is helping us plan this three-week unit to teach and then helping us to collect our pre-test and post-test data and getting all of that ready to present at the end of the semester. Pretty much just more work on top of already having to teach and do lesson plans for our student teaching.

And also, I am taking a half hour piano lesson in order to keep my songs fresh for my recital in the spring! If I can make it through this semester, I should be home free for graduation, other than that recital thing...eek!

I'm only taking one or two classes, if that. I'm graduating from LPN school this August and have about four classes I need to take for prereqs for the RN program, which I'll be starting summer 2009, so I have two semesters to spread these classes out over.

More specifically, those classes are two Anatomy courses, dosage calc, and a humanities course.

I have a weird mix of classes, because I'm double-majoring in English and Film Studies with a minor in Studio Art.

By the way, Petrarch, you're avatar is great. (Just kidding! Your avatar is great. I used to be a copy editor for the school newspaper, so mistakes like that almost make my eyes hurt.)
