Here is an analogy.

The church is like a box of chocolates....No wait, that's already been used.

Coffee is like chocolate, they're both brown.
No, that's pretty boring.

Umm, the Church is like coffee, they both need Juan Valdez. :|
No, that doesn't work either.

Oh forget it.
How bout:

venti decaf triple espresso sugar free caramel machiato with fat-free soy milk ...
is nothing like coffee.
?
(Scottbot trying to take the fun out of life?)

The level of heresy in this coffeehouse is rather low today. most disappointing.

How about this?
Pelagius said, "It was because God wished to bestow on the rational creature the gift of doing good of his own free will and the capacity to exercise free choice, by implanting in man the possibility of choosing either alternative...he could do either quite naturally and then bend his will in the other direction too. He could not claim to possess the good of his own volition, unless he was the kind of creature that could also have possessed evil. Our most excellent Creator wished us to be able to do either but actually to do only one, that is, good, which he also commanded, giving us the capacity to do evil only so that we might do His will by exercising our own. That being so, this very capacity to do evil is also good - good, I say, because it makes the good part better by making it voluntary and independent, not bound by necessity but free to decide for itself." (The Letters of Pelagius and his Followers by B. R. Rees, pg 38, published by The Boydell Press)

But as heresies go, you would be hard pressed to find a better one wouldn't you? :)
tulc(fears the luttefisk smack!) :sorry:
Oh I don't know. Semi-Pelagianism is a good one and don't forget Universal Reconciliation. Ooh and everyone's favorite... denial of the trinity. Along those lines, Modalism is good too. I'm familiar with a good deal of heresies. LOL

I don't need some organized thread in GT to tell me how to drink my coffee. I can read and interpret the menu for myself. I have received the Coffee Spirit and it enlightens me on the proper coffee to drink.

:p

How was that?

I have received the Coffee Spirit and it enlightens me on the proper coffee to drink.
Yeah, I'm sure that's what you believe, have you
been to starbucks lately?
Do you know just how MANY different 'proper'
coffees there are out there?
Why would the CS tell some one thing and...
