Prayer in poem form

I just wrote this. It was done at the prompting of the Holy Spirit:
Forget not His majesty!
By: Alan Wheeler

Forget not, O you children of God, His majesty!

He set the planets in place
And the earth just the right distance from the sun
Who else could create the seasons
And who dares to think it only happenstance?
Not I!

For winter here is summer there
And their day our night
God’s design at work
This is evidence of His might

Chance does not create
Randomness is chaos, not beauty
We didn’t just appear
But God had us in mind
When creation was designed

That’s why my sins pierce me
For faith is my only hope
Called to repentence and surrender
To let grace and mercy flow!

Who am I to trifle
With the gifts of God?
Rebellion is arrogance
In the face of abounding grace

Yet, this struggle will be with me
Until he calls me home
A prodigal under grace
Yearning not to rome

Lord, redeem and renew
This child unto you
Let not my heart be captive to the ways of this world

When I am in the desert of vanity and pride
Let your grace fall like rain
And cleanse me, in and outside!

Let me not think foolishly
Of my life and the price You paid
Let not my heart be like stone
And unreceptive to what You have said

Mold me, use me
May I be an effective tool
Surrendering the dross
And not a fool
Gaining my dreams is a loss
Serving you is my desire
Holy Spirit, kindle that fire!
Make me a warrior, of prayer and service
Encourage me when I am scared, unsure or nervous.

Lord, I thank you
For hearing this prayer
I know it’s written like a poem
But it travels from my heart to your ears
And for that I am grateful!

I praise you, Lord,
And worship your Holy name!
Hallelujah and Amen!
