Theistic Evolutionism-Is it the worst kind of infidelity?

I would think that Theistic Evolution shows that person may be much closer to salvation than an atheist. I would think of it has a hopeful sign actually. They do believe in Bible fundamentals after all even if they are ignoring certain parts. That's a lot to build on which the Christian should use to help them see more clearly.

Jesuit Wisdom from the 1600’s, True for Today

How do you get lukewarm water? Easy – mix some hot and some cold, roughly in equal amounts. How do you get a lukewarm Catholic? Easy – mix into the baptized human soul, both spiritual heat (supernatural divine truth, love and light) and spiritual cold (natural love of the world, the praise of men, carnal pleasures, self-love) – in roughly equal proportions. Simply disregard the warnings in Scripture and try anyway to live a contradiction: an impossible “compromise,” a combination of love for God and love for Mammon. (See – Lk 16:13, 1Jn 2:15-17.)

Here are some observations of a Jesuit priest of the 1600’s, Fr. Louis Lallemant, SJ (d. 1635). In a book of his teachings, “The Spiritual Doctrine”, are notes from his lectures as teacher and spiritual director to seminarians, in the year 1630. He observed in his time, among religious congregations and orders, that the effect of lukewarm men or women in a religious congregation can be disastrous.

Majority of fentanyl-laced pills now contain a deadly amount, DEA finds

In 2021, a family rented an Airbnb in Wellington, Florida. A few hours after checking in, their 19-month-old baby girl Enora was dead from an apparent overdose of fentanyl. Fentanyl been all over the news the last couple of years and according to the CDC, “Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is up to 50 times stronger than heroin and 100 times stronger than morphine.” They also say that the “most recent cases of fentanyl-related overdose are linked to illicitly manufactured fentanyl, which is distributed through illegal drug markets for its heroin-like effect. It is often added to other drugs because of its extreme potency, which makes drugs cheaper, more powerful, more addictive, and more dangerous.”

EUPROSDEKTOS = ACCEPTANCE, APPROVED. OR REPROBATES ?

Second Corinthians 13:5. Examine yourselves whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves. how that Jesus christ is in you, except Ye be reprobates. How many people are doing Gods will. Are they playing church, listening to traditions of men. Or too busy in ways of the world for God. 13:6. But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates. Habitual sinners don't care. False preachers misleading people. Idle, lazy people who won't work for living. Their not productive Christian people. The fake shepherds are the worst bunch. Galatians 2:4. And that of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in christ Jesus, that they might bring us into Bondage. Sadly, some denominations put stumbling block in people paths. Teaching traditions of men, false doctrine. Won't teach revelation or old testament. Won't teach seals and trumps. Or who kenites are. Wont teach ephesians chapter 6. Get the picture. Can we see why so many Christian people are empty souls. God is in the business of saving souls. They're are many lost people in the world. If your in Bondage, how can the person be any use to God ?? Thier biblically illiterate.
THERIZO in Greek means = harvest. When Jesus returns 7th trump, what kind of harvest will He see. Production or unprofitable ? As al Pacino would say, what do got for me !?. Isaiah 20:8. It shall even be as when an hungry man dreams, and his soul is empty; Is this adding up. ACHREIOO Greek means = unprofitable. When Jesus returns 7th trump. Is it welcome to joy of the Lord or get out of My sight. They're are two sides of the gulf. Paradise for the righteous. Sheol, called hell, for reprobates. Luke chapter 16 to document. Al Pacino wants to know what do you got ??.
How about Sheol is the place for all deceased. . .Paradise for the righteous and Hades for the unrighteous?

I debated with myself on posting this....

....but I decided it makes too many good points not to.

I don't agree with everything this article has to say (I am particularly irritated by the repeated reference to white people as "massa", ) but a lot of the other points made are dead on target.

And before anybody comes down on my head a tries accusing me of racism, remember that *I* did not write this---a Black person did.

10 Things Boomers Passionately Dislike About Modern Society

The ones that irritate me the most:

*Phone aps---Yeah. Most of them (along with smart phones themselves) are a major pain in the neck.

*Car touchscreens---Oh *DEFINITELY* yes!!!
1f620.png
Get rid of all the computerized crap on cars, AFAIC; just give me crank windows, dial radios, and slide-arm heating controls, and deep-six all the annoying whistles and buzzers and bells that tell you to "Service Stabil-a-trak system soon" and all the other useless garbage that blows chips and costs $7300 to fix.

*Automated telephone systems---Don't even get me started. Just let me talk to a human being, please, and an American human being. I get so sick of trying to access customer service and after being on hold for 84 minutes have some clown from Baloocheestan come on the line and say, "Allo; dis ees Achmed; ow ken I elp yoo? Silence! I keeel yoo!"

*QR Codes---I hate these. Why does everything have to be accessed through a smart phone, when it's infinitely easier to simply read a tag or a sign or a menu??? Pain in the behind. Another thing is texting. It's a *TELEPHONE*, people! Pick it up and talk! Don't text me!

*Kids and Technology---Well, yeah. My kid is plugged into that friggin' smartphone 24 hours a day. He walks around with headsets on, he looks like an air traffic-controller. He's listening to all that internet crap and you have to scream at him to get his attention. I used to get irritated by it, but now that I've accepted the fact that he's become one of the Borg and there's no hope of retrieval, I deal with it better.

The top five states Americans are fleeing in search of a better life

Four of these states---New York, New Jersey, Illinois, and Michigan---are unsurprising, as they have been bastions of Left-wing Woke lunacy for years, with destructive Democratic governors and legislatures driving their economies straight into the ground. One could also say the same thing for Oregon, Minnesota, Massachusetts, and Virginia. Wyoming, ironically, seems to have made the list because people simply can't find work there---the entire state economy is basically based on ranching and national parks, and it has the smallest population of all 50 states.

The latter Days: The type of the latter days

Daniel 7:7 to7:27. Fourth beast. This is the one world religious system of revelation chapter 13. Satan as antichrist will be world leader. He comes in peacefully. No war horse. The little horn is satan. I know what I'm talking about. I'm Gods Elect. God is using satan to test people near future. The devil will come 6th trump, Jerusalem, in his role as antichrist. He's role actor. It will be spirtual battlefield. Its words, ideas and concepts. Ephesians chapter 6. Without gospel armory on, majority will worship antichrist. They're biblically illiterate. Listening to traditions of men is the worse thing to do. It poisons your mind. Many churches have failed in their capacity. Majority of people are not prepared for antichrist. The rapture theory is false doctrine. I documented this. Revelation chapter 13, whole world will worship, except the saints, that's God's Elect. The election have gospel armory on. How many churches teach ephesians chapter 6. Or who kenites are or parable of fig tree. You must know the seals and trumps. Sadly, many churches don't teach it. God is testing people, using satan. Majority will flunk out.

Christian health care options

The article linked covers a different company than the ones you mentioned, but just be aware those are not insurance and payment is never guaranteed nor is there oversight for these types of health expenses sharing programs. Make any decision with eyes wide open.

"Healthcare sharing ministries claim an exemption from federal and state insurance laws, so there's no guarantee that the organization maintains funds sufficient to pay claims and certainly no guarantee that they will, even if the funds are there,” Volk told Forbes. “There are no solvency requirements, no requirement to pay members in a timely way - no requirement to pay at all. It really is just a matter of faith that claims will be paid, though the marketing typically suggests otherwise."

The Journey For Truth

In year 2022 I've had one of my best friends that passed away in a car accident in March, and my dad losing battle with Leukemia in May of 2022. These bad events I believe made me seek for the truth to answers in life that I have had prior. I became born again in year 2012, but prior years I became lukewarm and I was unsure on how much stories of the Bible is truth or not. Instead of pondering about these questions, I decided to do my own investigative research to find out the truth hence the title of my book being called "The Journey For Truth". The amount of information that I came across is staggering, which at the end of 2022, I felt inspired to piece all the information that I researched, and put it in a book to release to the world which I recently finished it and have published it to the world. This book I hope will bring a non-believer to Christ or at least plant a seed, and I firmly believe that if a Christian is going through a lukewarm period, this information will strengthen their faith as it has for me. There is no doubt anymore that the bible is 100% inspired and there is a battle between God vs Satan - good vs evil.

“I baptise you ... in whose name?"

Baptism in the name of "the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit" (or "Holy Ghost") is also required in the Anglican tradition. I do not expect the baptismal formula to change in the CofE or in the Episcopal Church in the US, even though we incorporate gender-neutral language in other places.

4 Plenary Indulgences during Lent

The Three Necessary Conditions

There are three necessary conditions for receiving a plenary indulgence for doing any of the prescribed works we just learned. Each one is this trinity of conditions also adds has the bonus of adding to our Lenten journey. They are:

  • Sacramentally confess your sins
  • Receive Holy Communion. (“It is certainly better to receive it while participating in Holy Mass, but for the indulgence only Holy Communion is required”)
  • Pray for the intentions of the Holy Father. One Our Father and one Hail Mary fully satisfies this.
  • There is actually one more: You must “have the interior disposition of complete detachment from sin, even venial sin.”

Fast and Abstain for the Sake of Your Soul

Lent’s penitential character reminds us that we’re called to something greater.

In her 1966 book Purity and Danger, Mary Douglas, one of the most important British anthropologists of the second half of the 20th century, described the “abominations” of Leviticus and Numbers in the Torah. She saw the Mosaic proscription against cloven-hoofed animals that didn’t chew the cud as a natural anomaly out of place in an ordered world. Thus, pork and rabbit meat were both dangerous and their rejection was an assertion of the holy.

In her later research, she rejected her original idea and instead and came to see the proscriptions of Leviticus and Numbers as more than a bunch of seemingly unrelated laws. In her 1970 book Natural Symbols, in the chapter entitled “The Bog Irish,” she made a strong pronouncement about the Catholic Church and the importance of ritual. She explained that Friday abstinence from meat “was the only ritual which brought Christian symbols down into the kitchen and on to the dinner table in the manner of Jewish rules of impurity.”

Pope to open Lenten prayer, penance service at Rome parish

VATICAN CITY (CNS) — Pope Francis will open a Lenten prayer and penance initiative at a Rome parish March 17 rather than in St. Peter’s Basilica as in past years.

The initiative, “24 Hours for the Lord,” was begun by the pope in 2014, and invites Catholic parishes worldwide to remain open for adoration and confession for 24 hours from the Friday evening to the Saturday evening before Laetare Sunday, the fourth Sunday of Lent. This year, the vigil is scheduled to take place March 17-18.

The Vatican announced March 7 that the pope will open the celebration at a parish near the Vatican “to further portray (its) presence in parish communities.” Typically, he hears confessions during the service.

Pope Francis has celebrated the penitential service to open the initiative in St. Peter’s Basilica each year since it began in 2014, with the exceptions of 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Last year, the pope consecrated Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary as part of the opening celebration.

Abuse expert Father Hans Zollner looks at the state of the crisis in the Church today

ROME (OSV News) — On March 3, Jesuit Father Hans Zollner, Pope Francis’ point man on the clergy abuse crisis, was appointed as consultant to the Diocese of Rome’s newly established office dedicated to the protection of minors and vulnerable persons.

“I am committed to listening to survivors and to promoting education and formation in the field of safeguarding, and look forward to continuing to do so in this new role,” Father Zollner said in a March 3 statement following the announcement.

OSV News sat down with Father Zollner ahead of the announcement to ask about the state of the matter on abuse in the Church today. Father Zollner said that while the road to successfully tackling the clergy sexual abuse crisis globally remains a long one, he is hopeful that “there is some improvement.” But, he added, “it is a very, very slow process that needs constant input and constant reminder.”

The director of the Institute of Anthropology – Interdisciplinary Studies on Human Dignity and Care (IADC) in Rome spoke to OSV News on the fourth anniversary of the Vatican summit on child protection, which concluded Feb. 24, 2019, and was attended by presidents of bishops’ conferences across the globe.

Are we following Ephesians 4:11?

I believe missionaries are the closest thing we have to Apostles,
I agree but I will go just a step further. I believe they are not just close but many are Apostles. Why does the church have such aversion to this title? They same applies the prophet many will draw back if someone is called a prophet but have no issue with pastor, teacher, evangelist, elder, deacon or bishop. God set all of the in the church but for some reason some men have chosen to remove at least two of them

Episcopal infighting is nothing new, but danger lurks

It’s time we admit it.

The Catholic Church … well, there’s divisions in the ranks — the highest ranks, too. Previously hidden under corporate smiles and corporate speak, a see-through solidarity that didn’t fool anybody anyway, now the fight has broken out between bishops.

All of it, of course, profitably retweeted, countlessly liked by partisans of the conflict, Twitter’s wars have now drawn bishops into its fray. There’s no use pretending. We read it, we hear it; we see what earlier we only assumed. A spectacle now is our Catholic Church in America.

None of this, though, should dishearten you, only those historically unalert. Bishops fighting is more central to the tradition than cramped institutional unity. From Paul and Peter to Clement’s first epistle; from Cyprian’s criticisms of Stephen to the entire fourth century; from Stephen VI’s “cadaver synod” to Avignon and beyond, episcopal combat is more norm than aberration. And, quite often, name-calling — calling one’s opponent a “new Judas,” things like that — was the least offensive thing about it. Most of Christian history, you must remember, we clergy were not gentlemen. In that regard, today’s fighting is quite traditional.

And there’s something good and bad to it, all this episcopal fighting — something fruitful and destructive. Fruitfully, such conflict is just the grist of tradition. As Alasdair MacIntyre taught, tradition is but an extended argument. Augustine talked about the “usefulness” of heretics; Newman, about the dogmatic value of controversy. Conflict is necessary to the discernment of truth. In that respect, bishops’ fighting might be, in reality, a sign of life, the undoing of sham institutionalism in favor of real tradition.
