If you read in John 1:29-36 you realize that “the Word” that John was speaking of here is Jesus Christ. So, Jesus Christ is the Word of God because he is God, the second person of our triune God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He was with God in the beginning and he is our creator God. And Jesus, although he was God, left his throne in heaven, and came to earth, was born as a baby to a human mother, conceived of the Holy Spirit. So while he lived on the earth he was both God and man.

Now Jesus Christ was the fulfillment of the prophecies concerning the promised Messiah who was to come, and his purpose in coming was to save mankind from their sins so that they could become children of God. But we don’t become children of God of our own flesh. So we can’t just claim that we believe in Jesus and now all our sins are forgiven and now heaven is our eternal destiny regardless of how we live on the earth. We need to be born of the will of God, and it is God’s will that we die with Christ to sin and that we are raised with Christ to walk in newness of life in him (Rom 6:1-23).

My birthday is this month and I am going to be 73 years old, Lord willing. Now, when I have a birthday we do not pull out all my old baby pictures so people can ooh and aah over them while they give each other gifts. So, if we are truly celebrating the birth of Christ, should we not celebrate who he is now? Yes, that can include remembrances of his birth and life and death on a cross and resurrection and who he is now in heaven with God the Father and how he sent his Spirit to indwell his followers – Christ living in us.

But we should celebrate everything about him. And in celebration of him and his birth and life and death and resurrection we should give him gifts. And what are the gifts he wants for his birthday? He wants our lives on the altar surrendered to him, forsaking our lives of living for self and in sin, and us walking in obedience to his commands (New Covenant) because we love him. So if you want to celebrate Jesus in a way that he desires and that is honoring to him, then surrender your all to him, leave your lives of sin behind you, and follow him in obedience to his ways from now to eternity.

Chris Beck formerly known as Kristen Beck was a Navy Seal who transitioned to female. He became famous and was touted by the LGBTQ crowd as a great example, a hero. Now he's detransitioning back to being a male.

He's now speaking out against transitioning kids. Having lived through the process of transitioning he is an important voice to be heard. He has not said anything derogatory about trans people, but the ideology of the willingness of doctors and psychologists to label a kid transgender and start pumping the.full.of drugs and give them surgeries. He said this.

"Everything that happened to me for the last ten years destroyed my life. I destroyed my life. I’m not a victim. I did this to myself, but I had help.”

“I take full responsibility,” he continued. “I went on CNN and everything else, and that’s why I’m here right now, I’m trying to correct that.

I was used … I was very naive, I was in a really bad way, and I got taken advantage of. I got propagandized. I got used badly by a lot of people who had knowledge way beyond me. They knew what they were doing. I didn’t,” he said during the interview. "

Beck is warning against transitioning the kids. If adults are going through this it's one thing. Like he said he did it to himself. He had help from psychologists who thought they were doing the right thing. This is the insidiousness of the current thought. And there are many adults in this same circumstance. There are many de-teansitioning sites on the web of those who are going through this. It's one thing for adults to do this and take responsibility but it's another thing entirely to do this to kids who are depending on the adults in their lives to do the right thing and help them to make the right decision.

Now we have those who are de-transitioning who are warning against transitioning kids. We even have kids now who want to sue do to parents and doctors transitioning them.

Slow down is the message. Kids should not be transitioned.

Six dead, including two police officers, after shooting and siege at rural property​

What makes it even funnier is the fact that atheist physicists hate the Big Bang Theory, because they view it as a threat to atheism. To them, evidence that the universe had a beginning contradicts atheism, and so they try to debunk it.

The strong city today is the church, the body of Christ. Salvation is her walls and bulwarks, not physical walls of brick and mortar and wood. And the church is comprised of the people of God who by faith in Jesus Christ have been crucified with Christ in death to sin, and who have been raised with Christ to walk in newness of life in him, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. They have forsaken their lives of living in sin and for self to follow the Lord Jesus in obedience to his commands.

THEY, the people of God, are the church, the strong city of God. The church is not physical buildings, and not businesses of men being marketed to the world, and she is not church denominations or civic centers or social clubs or places of fun and adventure and entertainment and of secular and worldly activities to bring fun and enjoyment to the people of the world. But this is what many people professing faith in Jesus Christ have turned the gatherings of the church into, which is not of God, not of Christ Jesus.

For the true church, the body of Christ, is universal. She is not bound by physical space and location. And with the use of the internet and texting and telephones, etc., we can gather as the church, the body of Christ, regardless of where we live on the planet earth. We can fellowship together with other Christians across the globe. And we can minister God’s love and grace to one another regardless of where we live on the earth. And we can function in our body parts even on the internet in using the gifts God has given to us.

And the true church is spiritual, not physical, and she is about honoring and glorifying God and obeying her Lord and doing what he says and walking in his ways and truth and in righteousness and holiness. And she is about getting the truth of the gospel of our salvation out to the people of the world so that they can come to genuine walks of faith in Jesus Christ, too. She is not on this earth to entertain the people of the world but to lead them to repentance and to obedient walks of faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord.

And our salvation is not a “get out of jail free card” so we can go to heaven when we die and so we can escape hell. And the gospel is not this “quick fix” so that we can keep on in our sins now guilt free. The gospel of Jesus Christ teaches that we must deny self, die daily with Christ to sin and to self, and that we must now follow our Lord in obedience to his commands (New Covenant). For if we do not turn from our lifestyles of sin to follow Jesus in obedience, we do not have salvation from sin nor eternal life with God.

So, it is only the truly repentant who have turned away from living in sin and who are now following Jesus in obedience to his commands who can enter into this church, this strong city, the body of Christ, which is our spiritual union with Christ. It is only those who keep the faith who will remain in Christ which is required of us for salvation from sin and for eternal life with God. For we must now walk according to the Spirit and no longer according to the flesh if we are to have salvation from sin and eternal life with God.

Now, this is not to say that we will never sin again (see 1 John 2:1-2), but that sin should no longer have mastery over our lives. For the Scriptures are quite clear on this subject. If sin is our habit, our practice, what we obey on a consistent and habitual basis in deliberate rebellion against our Lord, we do not have the hope of salvation from sin nor eternal life with God. But if righteousness, holiness, and obedience to our Lord are what we practice, in the power of God, then we do have salvation and eternal life with God.

And when we are walking in the ways of the Lord as our daily practice, and when we are not being taken captive to obey sin, we have peace with God because our minds are stayed on Him and not on the sinful pleasures of the flesh. Our consciences are clear and we have pure fellowship with our Lord, and there is no better place to be ever! For we are at perfect peace because we have nothing to feel guilty for. It doesn’t mean we are perfect people, but our consciences are clear because we are walking in obedience to Christ.

The great end times story:

This prophecy from the book of the prophet Jeremiah, tells the story of how God will punish the unrighteous by a fire judgement, then how His righteous people will go to live in all of the holy Land. All who by faith, that believe in God and Jesus will receive salvation. John 3:16-18

He will make a new covenant with them, in order for His people: Nazarene Christians, from every race and language, to fulfil their destiny to be “a light to the nations”, and to spread the gospel of the coming Kingdom of God. This will be carried out by the 144,000 selected in Jerusalem. Revelation 14:1-7 The precedent to this is in Luke 10:1-20. Isaiah 49:6, Isaiah 66:19

God’s people will live in peace and prosperity, in the new country of Beulah, Isaiah 62:1-5, in all of that area promised to Abraham so long ago. Genesis 15:18, Ezekiel 34:24-31, Joel 2:23-27

When they are settled and prosperous, the Lord will motivate a Northern confederation to come and attack Beulah, Ezekiel 38:8, Ezekiel 39:1-2.
They will be totally wiped out by the Lord, Ezekiel 38:21-22, Ezekiel 39:3-5, Joel 2:20. This is in order to display His glory and power to all the nations. Ezekiel 38:23, Ezekiel 39:21

Meanwhile, the rest of the world will slowly recover from the terrible fires and earthquakes of the Day of the Lord’s wrath and they will form a One World Government, initially controlled by ten Presidents, but another will rise to take dictatorial powers. He will make a seven year peace treaty with Beulah, that not all the people agree with. Daniel 9:27, Daniel 11:32, Isaiah 28:14-15

This marks the commencement of the final seven years of this age. At the middle of this time, the World Dictator takes over Beulah, Zech. 14:1-2, Rev elation 13:7, and forcibly sits in the Temple. Daniel 11:31, 2 Thessalonians 2:4

This triggers the 3½ year Great Tribulation, the trumpet and bowl judgements. Those Christians who refused any dealings with the ‘beast’, or his mark, as in Revelation 13, are taken to a place of safety. Revelation 12:14 1260 days later, will come the culmination of this age – the physical Return of Jesus, Zechariah 14:6-11, Rev. 19:11-21.

He will destroy the armies mustered for battle in Armageddon. Revelation 16:16, Revelation 19:19-21, Zechariah 14:3-5 Then, He will reign for 1000 years. Great will be that time!

Hello all, my first time here and I really need some advice. So the other day I had the urge to wake up and pray and while I started praying I had to urgency to pray for a family member. It started getting serious like something was going to happen to this family member. I started to petition God because I do believe in intercessory prayer. I started to feel fire on me and my tongue was on fire and I started to prophesy using my own mouth speaking out loud. I believe this was God as I started saying answers to things that I’ve prayed for. I heard the Lord say Hes on His way back and I have to stop sinning. Then I started prophesying to my friend telling them to pray for their mother and I said something so personal about their mother. Something about the mother being dishonest Now I feel horrible because I met their mother and I didn’t feel like she actually did that. And my friend didn’t think that either Now I’m wondering was I doing this from my flesh. I wish I this would have not happened to me or that I would have just not said that part but I couldn’t stop I’m so embarrassed and confused because I’m not sure if this was God, myself or the enemy. I begged God to confirm what was said and nothing. I’m feeling so terrible. I don’t know what to do.

This is more of a vent. Anyone who has dealt with this, I'd appreciate advice but don't feel pressured. My ocd right now is revolved on doubting the Bible and Jesus. How do I know? What if? I am reading a book at the moment and it characterises Sola Scripture in the following way and I am wondering if its a fair characterisation:

To quote: "Sola Scriptura was a sound bite that dealt first with the question of authority. It described the Reformation's inspired return to the Bible as the ultimate source of religious authority for theology, rather than the piled up traditions and papal pronouncements of the church...

"As it turned out, the Protestant idea of sola scriptura had some loopholes when doing doctrine. Sola Scriptura really meant that you came up with a theological argument, idea, or doctrine first, and then you rummaged around in Scripture for some verses to support it. If Scripture was to be involved in theologizing at all, in any era, that has been pretty much the procedure..."

Its the last bit I am wondering about. I think for Luther he was wrestling with the meaning of "the righteousness of God", in the Epistle to the Romans and his new understanding of that led on to what he later taught.

Anyway the writer Jon Mark Ruthen, is talking about what's wrong with Protestant Theology (title of the book) and has written other books about continationism of Spiritual gifts. Have only started reading it, but if its just the other side (Pentecostal / Charismatic) I don't know how it differs from other critiques from the Charismatic movement. I'd rather see a book more along the lines of both what is right and what is wrong in protestant theology.

I have been having a rough time lately dealing with a lot, and I’m so sorry because I know a lot of people are and I’m praying for you all. I’ve gone through a lot of loss so the holidays are hard, and I’m really worried because my puppy who is 10 months has hurt her hip, it brings a pit in my stomach it pops everytime she walks. She is so energetic and loves to jump super high in the air , yesterday she got a little zoomie episode and decided to chase me outside she jumped and tried to tackle me but I think she got hurt because she misstepped. Please pray for a miracle that whatever happened goes away , I love her with all my heart and I can’t bare the thought if Anything happening to her. Little back story , was born in a hindu family, currently an atheist, i am 20 yr old and feel like an old man with nothing to show for in life, now i wish that if only the internet hadnt filled my brain with a million ideas there still would have been a way for me to believe in god, finally have came to an understanding that lifes pretty empty without a bigger reason to live than myself, wish there was way for me to redpillmy brain into believing in god, but again i feel like its too late for me. I have no idea where to go from here.

I just realized it, hearing a chirping ground squirrel, that if you turn your head so that the sound is *evenly* heard in both ears, it points your eyes and nose in the *exact* direction of where the sound is coming from, so that your sight and smell senses can hone in as you approach.

If your ears weren't evenly placed, it wouldn't put your sight in line with the sound you're hearing.

The latest Tim Pool video claims what is said in the title above. I haven't listened to it, yet and not posting a link lest there is something objectionable said in the video etc. I will be looking more into his sources, and googling the topic etc. I do believe it, because Tim doesn't make stuff up. He can exaggerate some things sometimes in a click bait way but does vet his sources.


Anyway, thought it would be a good topic here.

In Ezekiel 39 there are two major end times events.

1. Gog/Magog, which takes place when Israel is at peace. This is noted in Ezekiel 38, in the latter days, latter years. Ezekiel 39:1-6 is the destruction of Gog's army. Then the cleanup of the land ending in verse 16.

2. Armageddon, which takes place when Israel is in great tribulation. Ezekiel 39:17-20, which is the same as Revelation 19:17-18 at Jesus's return.

The 7 years following Gog/Magog are the 7 years of Daniel 9:27 and Revelation.

Hi everyone I'm new here.

I'm asking for advice about vows.

Some months ago I was in an emotional state and while praying I vowed to God that if he heals me from my various conditions I will renounce my parents, my house, videogames, anime and Japan. When I made them I wasn't fully aware on how vows works.

I kinda forgot about the vows, but was reminded when I reached Deuteronomy (I'm still reading through the bible).

So I searched online, and it seemed like you could repent the vow, I wasn't sure but I continue to play videogames.
After some days I heard a voice in my mind telling me "If you continue playing videogames, I will send a disgrace upon you". So I replied "who are you?", and the voice said "I am God, your creator".
So from that time I stopped completely playing videogames.

After some days while in prayer I said that I didn't want to renounce all those things and that I won't be able to fulfill them.
The next day it happened to me something bad concerning my health, something specific that has really low probability to happen that I think it's a kind of punishment from God.

I was so in a bad state that i confirmed my vows by vowing again kinda the same thing.

The parents and house part is really foolish, there is a reason I vowed to renounce them but it's hard to explain.
Videogames and anime are something that I've always enjoyed, especially videogames. I'm really having hard times seeing myself quitting them completely, even because it's something I enjoy doing with my friends.
Regarding the Japan part, I've always loved Japan, to the point that I've majored Japanese language at university so renouncing Japan it's really hard and I fear it will deeply affect my carrer since my studies. I've put a lot of effort in learning the language, I feel desperate because I vowed in a very vague way.

I think I've ruined my life making those vows. I also think that they are hindering my relationship with Him. Do you guys think that God could set me free of this bondage? Can I break the vows and be forgiven?
