Way to think of the dark side of things. Some Native Americans were invaders, some were peaceful. "Civil"war was a growing nation trying to work out a difference of oppinion, one by dividing the country the other by forcing it to stay a part of the country. The peaceful immigration of people to America was innocent enough. The diseases they brought weren't even close to being understood then. And the diseases were not planned for. Except for the alcholism "disease" which Europe had dealt with for centuries, the others were a by product of Europes society. Immigrants didn't come to American to sicken those natives. The evil was still to come. Spain came across and disease and the military destroyed most of the South and middle American natives, England and Germany hit the East coast ad disease killed there. But the worst evil was the people that were raised in the states. Taught to look down on the natives, and that they had the right to force the Indians to leave. Very few countries have a perfect history. MOst have comitted atrocities. Most countries learn from thier past and continue. In America, I guess we just remember the bad of our country and forget the good.
