I have been searching to find the answer to all these terrible shootings now taking place in this nation. I first thought that passing more and more gun control laws could be the answer to the problem but upon much contemplation I found that it is not the real answer. Being a believer in Christianity I have been led to believe it is a spiritual problem more than a secular one. In each case that I followed the person who killed with a gun was not a saved born again true believer. If that person were there is no way such killings could occur because the love of God and His commandments would restrain him or her from committing such acts. When the Christian God is not in a person or even a nation for matter the devil and all sorts of evil result including murder as the Bible tells us satan is not only a liar and thief BUT A MURDERER as well. Since we kicked God out of our schools and this nation violence has increased including all types of murder. Even though that is the answer to the problem we still have to use secular means of dealing with such crimes, including the arrest and imprisonment of such individuals. We also need to see if such persons are on drugs which can cause many people to desire to kill others. We need to close any loopholes in existing gun control laws as well. The argument that gun control laws take away the right of people to bear arms is ridiculous and ill founded. I challenge anyone to say their guns have been taken away because of the passage of such laws. Also why doesn't the NRA raise a fuss when police on a regular bases seize the guns of any convicted felon. That is taking guns away from the people as any other reason I know. There needs to be sensible gun control as there needs to sensible regulations governing the use of a car. Cars and guns in the hands of irresponsible and lawless persons can result in many deaths and serious injuries. One must remember with our freedoms comes a responsibility not to use that freedom to harm others. This nation clearly needs to get back with God. Unfortunately this is no longer a Christian nation; the only truth Obama has ever spoken. It it were we would not have the rampant evil that is now taking place not only by individuals but people in all levels of government as well. Clearly this nation was much better off and prospered greatly when we turned to God and sought His guidance. To counter this gun violence let's try as parents to get our children saved and in church and as individuals try to lead others to the Lord. Removing the 10 Commandments from public places was of the biggest mistakes this nation ever committed. What is wrong with them when our laws are based on them to prevent killing, lying and thievery clearly forbidden in them. To me they are not onerous commandments but a guide to perfect living and the essence of true love toward one another. Until we finally realize this is more a spiritual matter than a secular one and treat it as such gun violence will continue to increase
