I will put that to him. But I do know he is fairly flexible. He often puts out a song and asks if anyone would like to record their own version. Thats why you will see a few different versions of the same song. The only problem I can see is Ian may feel its overstepping the mark as far as taking any people he has set up collaborations with. The best thing is to share some music to begin with and then get talking to him. The best way is to like and follow his music or someone he works with and get talking. But there is also nothing stopping you from putting it out there like he has done and ask for collaborations. There are many thousands of musicians who are trying to get their music out and many are open to working with others. From what Ive seen there are heeps of female singers who are out there having a go. To much talent to all be discovered and many are really good. I think many are realistic enough to know that they may never make it big and they are in it for the music more than the fame. But like I say you have to be a bit careful as there are some big egos around as well. But thats what soundcloud is for to share your music and find other like minded people. From a couple of female vocalists that I have got to know they are relatively unknown and making their music in their bedrooms like many of us. I just thought Ian had a different style about him and had some similar aspects to what you do. He seems flexible in his style and not the main stream music. Here is one from Emma Caiman who I have been following. http://soundcloud.com/emma-caiman This is another person I like and one of my favorites. He is a Greek guy who goes by the name of the fisherman. It goes to show you will get all sorts of artists from all over the world trying to get their stuff out there..
