Can this 3-Question Quiz Predict Whether You Believe in God?

I have encountered those exact questions numerous times before and hence got them all correct this time, but I can't recall if I did the first time.

    Scientists discover the firmament (dome)?

Looky ... All of a sudden we do have a dome.

    Which came first?

Both human concepts, to my mind. So, chaos. Making sense of stuff usually takes a while.

Why I am not an atheist

Don't hesitate to give these explanations. But keep in mind, an explanation is some sort of positive effort, something where you do some kind of work. It's not easy, usually.

    Massive study completed on NDEs

I think that the existence of NDE makes any further discussion about whether there is an afterlife obsolete. We can see them either as a contradiction or as a confirmation of life after death, but we need not look any further.

Why I am not an atheist

It's not so much your personal delivery here in this thread that bothers me. It is rather the overall, poor performance of God as an explanation. I don't think you do. I don't think anybody does, for that matter. A theological explanation for ... Hmmmm ... the lowly caterpillar. How, when...

Why I am not an atheist

I tend to think that explaining things is a wee bit harder than that. It's actually really tough. You, on the other hand, appear to have a very sketchy understanding of the things that you seek to explain; but at least it is something. You have no understanding of the things that you purport...

Why I am not an atheist

Why? You have seen the arguments.

Why I am not an atheist

Technically not true. God of the Gaps are called what they are: Gods of the Gaps. Being a Christian or not does not necessiate God of the Gaps thinking. That is not an explanation of any kind. It is an illusion of an explanation.

A finely tuned universe that points to a God.

Does not answer my question. And the rest of your post does not either.

A finely tuned universe that points to a God.

I am downright surprised at the downright materialistic view that both of you take. Really surprised. Don't you believe in souls? Consciousness that can exist without physical form? Life after death, heavenly bodies? Or what have you. Of course you do. (You both are even trying to argue...

A finely tuned universe that points to a God.

That's always been one of the things that bothered me about the FTA. Why carbon based lifeforms? And why universes? Why this gigantic Rube Goldberg machine?

    An argument against God

I wouldn't worry too much about the premises. You hear so much unsubstantiated stuff about God, that it's only fair to return the favour. And as an aside, the premises sound good to me. I am almost sure I've heard all of them before (and their opposites) before.

Then I am sorry to say, the misunderstanding is solely yours. Isn't that nice!

A finely tuned universe that points to a God.

As I said before: "I am not sure that is even true. But in any case it is completely beside the point." I have never said anything about there having to be 2 or more infinities. I am not sure where you got that from. (And just as an aside: The set of all negative integers is infinite. The...

A finely tuned universe that points to a God.

I am not detecting anything in that paragraph that even remotely addresses my semi-serios FTA turnaround. But even so, there is lots of dubious and questionable stuff in there. For instance: "you can't use plural on something infinite," I am not sure that is even true. But in any case it is...

A finely tuned universe that points to a God.

Just what are the chances that we got the right kind of God? Just think of it, the slightest variation in competence, or desires, or intentions .... The mind boggles.
