Why don't any of the church fathers know that the pope is infallible?

Did he say he was infallible though? Didn't think so. Try again please.

So you agree Peter wasn't the first pope then? Thanks for confirming what I said.

Should Christians Choose Between the Lesser of Two Evil's in the 2016 Election ?

I honestly have no idea who to vote for. Both are corrupt. With Hillary we get more of the same which is kind of safe(not necessarily in a good way). The usual political corruption. With Trump, he's kind of a wild card. His temper and utter disdain for anyone who doesn't worship him kind of...

How do you know which books are scripture?

The 39 books of the Old Testament were always thought to be inspired or scripture. I consider the 27 New Testament books as special/scripture because they were written by the apostles or people who knew the apostles like Mark and Luke. Plus the NT books were considered inspired right from the...

    Continually asking for forgiveness

This is a true story. I did a lot of bad things when I was a teenager that I've regretted all my life. God one day actually got sick of me always asking for his forgiveness for what I did. He got so angry with me that he made me go next door and apologize to my neighbor Mary who some 30 years...

    Which bible are you reading?

I prefer the KJV but I will mix it up sometimes and read more modern translations just to get a different interpretation. A different translation is kind of like reading a new book. I also have the following translations: NKJV, NIV, HCSB, NLT, NASB, NCV, The Living Bible, NAB, and MEV.

The 21 reasons behind the rejection of the "Bible-Only"

To be honest, it really doesn't matter to me what other people(Catholics especially) think of the Bible. The New Testament documents are the closest thing we have to what Jesus and the actual apostles said/did. Making them the most reliable sources we have. The documents were written by apostles...

Why don't any of the church fathers know that the pope is infallible?

Why don't any of the church fathers know that the pope is infallible? If you read Eusebius' History of the Church, he names many bishops of Rome, Antioch, etc., by name. A lot of people! Yet he never once mentions that any particular person or office is infallible. Why is that? Why wouldn't...

The Early Church is the Catholic Church

First off, Peter was not the first bishop of Rome/pope. We know this as fact. How? Why would Paul have to write a letter to the church in Rome(Romans) explaining the gospel if Peter had been pope for some 25 years? Romans is generally considered to be written around 57-58 and the pope "list"...

    Question about the Apostles

Eusebius'-The History of the Church reports some of the martyrdom of the apostles and so does John Foxe's-Foxe's book of martyrs. Those are the only books I can think of.

Are the Sacraments Valid if the priest is a notorious sinner?

I believe the catholic belief is it doesn't matter whether the priest is a sinner since we are including Mary. The only thing that matters is if he gets the words right EXACTLY during the mass. One mistake and the mass is technically null.

    On Purgatory

Purgatory was used by the RCC to con people out of money to support the churches problem with wasting money on extravagant things and various pope's raiding the money box. Explain to me how a clergy man can reduce someone's time in purgatory due to monetary circumstances. I'd love to hear it.

What is the explanation for all the "million year old dinosaur bones"?

It just seems odd to me that scientists, archaeologists, geologists, etc., claim to be accurate about the universe/earth being billions of years old, and dinosaur fossils being millions of years old, and claim to know how the world began. They claim to be accurate yet nobody can get a current...

What's the best tasting coffee in your opinion ?

Millstone Chocolate Velvet Coffee from Amazon. Or at least I used to get it. It used to be like $16 for two one pound bags. Now its $42!!! So I don't buy it anymore. Dunkin Donuts' blueberry flavored coffee is excellent to. Ask for extra flavoring!

The Papacy: The ultimate insult to the Apostle Peter?

The history of the pope's over the centuries did the following in Peter's name: having innocent people murdered, having people strangled to death, burning people at the stake, having illegitimate children, sex with prostitutes, sex with children, homosexuality, protecting child molesters...

Catechism of the Catholic Church 1129

1129 The Church affirms that for believers the sacraments of the New Covenant are necessary for salvation. "Sacramental grace" is the grace of the Holy Spirit, given by Christ and proper to each sacrament. The Spirit heals and transforms those who receive him by conforming them to the Son of...

The "New" Minimum Wage - $70k

Uhhh, why would you hate people having more money? How about more love and less hate please. Why do you care how much money other people make? I take it, it would be ok for you to make more money. Why do so-called Christians hate others so much?
