Guys, Would you date someone who's much younger than you?

I don't know who thought of it but a guideline I've heard for a lower age limit for dating is "Age/2 + 7". So, I'm 34. 34/2 + 7 = 24. Unlikely that I'd date someone that young but I'd be open to it. Any younger would start to have the "weird factor"

Would you make a good girlfriend/boyfriend?

Great question to ask. It's always good to take a good hard look at yourself. For me, I don't have time at the moment since I'm working full time and studying part-time. But the studying will be done in a few months. After that, I reckon initially I'd be a pretty rubbish boyfriend since I've...

men the 'decision makers' or 'leaders'

Jesus...? I thought we'd see you coming in the clouds from heaven. I was expecting trumpets. I didn't think you'd disguise yourself as an atheist on an internet forum. :)

    Christian Girls vs Atheist Girls

Acts 11:26 "...The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch." So, if you're a disciple of Christ, you're a Christian.

men the 'decision makers' or 'leaders'

But of course men are equally depraved as women, since the fall. And it was Adam that God was looking for after the fall because he was the head ("But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”" - Gen 3:9). Adam fell first by not protecting his wife. Where was he when the serpent was...

men the 'decision makers' or 'leaders'

He's definitely controversial. But I think he really understands culture well and can connect God's word to people - especially youngish men who didn't grow up as Christians (which is me).

men the 'decision makers' or 'leaders'

Yep. Some guys will complain "my wife won't submit to me". But they should focus on what God has commanded THEM to do, i.e. love their wife like Christ loves the church, be more Christ-like, be a good leader, be a husband worthy of his wife's submission.

men the 'decision makers' or 'leaders'

Moving into the inspiration of scripture is getting off topic a bit (and it looks like we disagree about that), but one's opinion on that topic is at the bottom of so many theological disputes, isn't it?

men the 'decision makers' or 'leaders'

As to what does submission look like. I don't know as I'm not married and I think it would look slightly different in each marriage. But I think it comes down to decision-making. On whatever the disputed issue is, after an appropriate amount of discussion where each party (husband and wife)...

men the 'decision makers' or 'leaders'

Some randomly-organised thoughts on this topic... 1. Submission is a strange concept in our society, so there's little wonder there's confusion about what it really means. 2. Many men in the past have used submission as an excuse for all kinds of verbal/emotional/physical abuse of their wives...

    What is this called?

That's true re mention of Christ not making one a Christian. So what do you think of Christ?

    What is this called?

I'm pretty sure this is "theism" It's not deism because of the parts in bold, and it's not Christianity because it doesn't mention Christ.

Books on the theological case for theistic evolution

Hi, I was hoping someone here could help me. I would like to clarify my thinking on the evolution/creation debate. I understand the science of evolution well enough, and I know there are many Christians who believe in evolution. And they mustn't see any contradictions between it and their...
