What do you feel should happen to those who hire and or exploit illegal labor?
There are punishments for that too usually in the form of fines and/or incarceration.

Of course illegal immigration is linked to more crime. Each crime by an illegal adds to the count. It would be best if we knew the exact questions asked.
Good idea. Ignore what was posted and carry on with your position.

The excuses don't matter;
They're not excuses. They are correcting misunderstandings that people generally have regarding illegal and/or undocumented immigrants.

Or to the politicians who invite them to our country for political purposes, knowing that they will suffer poverty and underclass status for generations?

More than 7 million migrants have been encountered by US Customs and Border Protection agents along the southern border since Biden took office in 2021, the latest CBP data show, including 961,537 in the current fiscal year.
Biden, for his part, has repeatedly tried to blame former Trump for fueling the crisis by blowing up the Senate’s bipartisan border security bill earlier this year.

Do you think Joe will make some gesture or excuse, perhaps say he wanted to stop the border crisis but his lawyers said he couldn't legally do it?

Too bad democracy is only an illusion. So polls don't matter. What matters is what the rich and powerful want. And they want to Make America Third World Again. America will probably end up more like Brazil with lots of poor and pockets of rich.

Yet we hear nothing about that. It is exceedingly rare and so the demand side of the illegal employment equation never changes. This is not solving the problem and the only one who can help to change that are conservatives. Until you hold your politicians accountable nothing will change and they will continue to pretend they are addressing the issue when they are not.

I'll wait to see any Republican held to account by their base for their part in perpetuating the issue.

The odd thing is that every time someone is arrested they find out who they are...

They need to be arrested. But Joe won't do it.
No president has done so.
He has brought in over ten million illegals and his Justice Department prosecuted less than a dozen employers for hiring illegals in 2023. Instead the Justice Department is focusing on attacking the Trump campaign for president along with Trump supporters. Why they had four attorneys going after Trump and normally they only use two for a murder case! If they used just one than three could have been working on prosecuting more employers. The Senate Democrats won't impeach Joe or any of the officials involved.
Not interested in your alternate reality.

What? The Biden administration has let in over ten million illegals and the Justice Department for the entire year prosecuted less than a dozen employers. That problem is not with conservatives.

My guess it not only Americans would support deportation of illegal immigrants, so would almost every country in the world. Many countries are in favor of welcoming immigrants that come to the country legally, but I can't image illegal immigration is popular anywhere.

Nobody emigrates from Utopia.
But tell me, what paradises these folks are from that the US of A is a “heck hole”?
Elsewhere we have a “declining birthrate” thread; pretty soon we will be inviting immigrants in, to run things while we take our SOMA!

Two thirds of the lands west of the Mississippi are underpopulated, but we got “no more room”?

That's a different discussion. Legal immigration is a huge part of what made this country great. That means gradually taking in people who are willing to eventually assimilate into our country and culture and contribute. It means banning those who want to destroy our country.

They’re going to “destroy our country” by living in it?

Then we need to stop being so hard to legally immigrate to. My big issue is with making the system so hard while minimizing prosecution of companies hiring illegals.

It means banning those who want to destroy our country.
Are you equating change with destroy? If not this is a bizarre statement. No one lives somewhere in order to destroy it.

What? I said we should ban those who want to destroy our country. That means those who shout "Death to America" or want to impose Sharia law or impose a dictatorship, a different form of government, or create chaos or anarchy. Instead we want people who will respect our laws and contribute to society. Those who love America and apply legally should not take a back seat to those who are brought in just to prop up a political party.
