What is something many of us can agree on?
The economy now is better than it was back in 1929, and is actually better now compared to the 2020 levels. What is something many of us can agree on?
Look at the GDP from 2017 to the end of 2023. GDP is growing better now compared to in the late 2010s.Not provable.
The average people in this country are having more problems with inflation and paying their bills from 2021 til the present than we had from 2017 through the end of 2019.Look at the GDP from 2017 to the end of 2023. GDP is growing better now compared to in the late 2010s.

That is also true. The gap between the rich and poor continue to grow. Biden isn't gonna do anything about this, and neither will a billionaire such as Trump. We need to wait for both of these politicians to grow even older, and then a new crop of politicians could get us out of this mess. The average people in this country are having more problems with inflation and paying their bills from 2021 til the present than we had from 2017 through the end of 2019.
What evidence do you have of that besides your bare assertion? The average people in this country are having more problems with inflation and paying their bills from 2021 til the present than we had from 2017 through the end of 2019.
Really? What evidence do you have of that besides your bare assertion?
What actual evidence do you have other than your bare assertions?Really?
Are you unaware of all of the polling of Americans about the economy?
Are you really unaware that inflation has risen more than average wage increases over the last 3 years?
Agreed. What system would work better here in the USA? I have a few ideas, but would like to hear yours. Most of the new money being made in america is going to the richest 1% who just sit on it; unable to spend their already bloated hordes. So as the economy clips along, they continue to get richer while the poorest fall further victim.
Republicans will blame a Democrat president. And vice versa. The problem is a system problem; not a president problem.
Let's try something simple and see if it immediately turns into a debate. What is something many of us can agree on?
Wow, $260 is a steal for a 55 inch TV.Let's try something simple and see if it immediately turns into a debate.
T.V.'s are cheaper, better and larger than anytime in the past. I was in Walmart today and saw a 55 inch T.V. for only $258.00. (Vizio I think). It even had built in Roku, HTMI ports and fancy remote. That is definitely an improvement.
I have no good solutions. I'm not an economist so my all my problems look like nails to my proverbial hammer.Agreed. What system would work better here in the USA? I have a few ideas, but would like to hear yours.
I feel like placing a limit on CEO wealth to $1B could help. If we have a minimum wage in this country, a maximum wealth limit could be set. People can debate how high or low this limit could be set.I have no good solutions. I'm not an economist so my all my problems look like nails to my proverbial hammer.
The system we have works just fine: a free Democratic Republic with a capitalist economy. The problem we are having is that both of our present political parties are degenerate. What we need is strong unions and a real labor party.Agreed. What system would work better here in the USA? I have a few ideas, but would like to hear yours.
Yeah, we need strong unions, and a good labor party. Denmark is capitalist, but also has some elements of socialism, so the Danish system could work as well, in conjunction with stronger unions. The system we have works just fine: a free Democratic Republic with a capitalist economy.
